It's a quaint place on a quiet beach. Our cabana was set in a huge compound area all to ourselves with an outdoor shower and an outdoor bathroom area. The king size bed had mosquito nets. The pool faces the sea and is long and well kept. The Sri Lankan food is good but do not try the western style dishes. The staff is friendly without being intrusive. You will be taken to see hundreds of spinner dolphins but check that the boat allocated to you has a well maintained engine. Ours left us stranded but a replacement boat was sent to rescue us reasonably quickly. If you like quiet places with very few people these cabanas on this peaceful beach are definitely for you.

Magical place. If you can stay here for a few nights do. The customer service is superb. Every request is met with attentive service. The place has been designed to be a really gorgeous, escapist and beautiful place and the managers have paid attention to the little details so it all lives up to the luxurious promise.

A very nice resort directly on the beach. We spent 4 nights in the resort, the villa was perfect for our family (including 1 kid and 2 teenagers). To take my shower in the garden of the private villa was a pleasure. The staff is particularly friendly and helpful, the gardens are perfectly maintained, the pool is amazing. The meals are made homemade with fresh vegetables and fruits. And above all do not forget to ask the manager Sameera to take you on a safari to the park of Wilpattu : sometimes getting up before dawn makes you discover extraordinary places

It is a beautiful place with some minor flaws. Food is okay, not good. It took the waiters about 15 min to bring salt and pepper, at every meal. And we asked for it every time. If you order a la card, the food is never hot. Its warm, almost cold.
Breakfast is ok, Coffee is not good. I had better Breakfast in places that cost much much less. But still, the resort, the beach the pool, the lighting is very nice, so we had a good time.response / report this review -

Superb place for Whale and Dolphin watching in Kalpitiya Sea. Eco friendly rooms and buildings makes you more calm. Have a bath in the salt water pool in the evening with sunset.

This place is gorgeous! The Spanish guy who runs it and all the staff are fantastic. It's one of those places where every single thing your eye meets is lovely. Kicked off shoes on arrival and didn't put them in again till we reluctantly left. Strongly recommend.
