  I stayed at Ruuk Village and took kite surfing classes at the kite school there. It s nicely located in front of a dreamy lagoon. The waters and winds are just perfect, Daniel and his team are fun, friendly, patient and competent, which would make up for a great kite surfing experience and a great stay at Ruuk Village.

  What a lovely place! Stayed for 7 days and had a real blast. It’s a perfect destination if you’re looking for a quite and remote place, especially if you are a kitesurfing lover. The lagoon and constant wind makes it a good spot for kitesurfing. The kitesurfing school is really good: great teacher (Vytis) and good renting equipment.
  
  We took a full-board package and I would recommend it to all since Kalpitiya village doesn’t have much to offer in terms of restaurants and the ladies in the kitchen cook amazing food. I would describe it as simple, healthy, authentic and delicious.
  
  The place also attracts laid-back clients from all over Europe. Everyone was very open minded and social. In the evenings we used to stay all together having a cold beer and a good chat. It really felt like a big hippie family.
  
  The staff are very friendly and caring. The manager, Gamma, will make all your wishes become true. He also was very helpful when we needed to get to our next destination.

  Very nice Project next to the kite lagoon. You live in the nature while being served local food clocked fresh every time.
  Staff is helpful and courteous. Kite surf lessons where conducted in a professional manner.
  I’ll be back, when I have the chance.

  Great place, amazing people. It was our first stop in Sri Lanka and the staff made us feel at home right away. The food was first class. If you're looking for a traditionally Sri Lankan getaway, definitely bunker down in one of the traditional huts.

  Such a beautiful place is in a great location. I had wonderful time at there. It is one of the peaceful and nice place I have ever seen. Great place to spend vacation. Really loved it and will definitely be back.

  I´ve really enjoyed this real "Eco-Lodge"!
  You can relax very easily and exploit yourself at the same day.
  
  The "eco-concept" works quite well. You have fresh local food, solar electricity and they work closely with the locals - and they always work on it!
  Go ahead!

  Beautiful place, enjoy local food, get in touch with the locals and relax in a very peacefull little ecovillage! Perfect place to stay if you wanna Kitesurf in Kalpitya!

  Very friendly, welcoming staff and generally warm atmosphere. Located right at the lagoon you get access to excellent flatwater perfect for learning. The kiteschool uses the lastest gear from Core and the instructors are really enthusiastic.
