Loved the stay here. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Even arranged us a boat for dolphin watching.. Rooms were nice and spacious and found them agreeable. Worth the price..

Warning !
This hotel is very dirty lot of cockroaches
The manager was selling marijuana to the customers. Food is incredible very bad !
I lost my IPhone was stolen by the staff !
The manager also arranging prostitutes to the hotels ; ( Manager Prasath Fernando )
I will advice never ever choose this hotel !

We spent two days here with the new owner, a kind and smart guy. He took us to a fish market and gave us a free of charge cooking lesson. The crab and fish was delicous btw!
The Angel Rest is located at the lagoon of Kalpitiya, walking distance to shops and restaurants and also the Dutch Fort. The rooms are big and we enjoyed our time on the big terrasse with lounge chairs and tables. The house is a little bit aged now (espacially the bathrooms), but the owner is now working on bringing it up again.

We intended to stay 1 night but it was so nice here we stayed 2. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are really clean and comfy. The food here is amazing - probably the best place to come and eat in Kalpitiya! Highly recommended!

We stayed 3 nights in room 5 and liked it.
There is a good atmosphere. Our host and his family were very friendly and hospitable.
One star less for the location!

Great restaurant!
In the center of kalpitiya. Make sure to visit when you are here. Best Place i ever had Great Food. Lovely Family and Best Service. Rooms were So clean and Tidy.

Excellent place to eat and rest. I came first to have a simple dinner and I was astonished by the quality of the food. I could then visit this simple and tidy hotel. To be certain that the food was excellent I came another time and it was really tasty. The little family working the place out are really helpful and kind. I wish them all the best!!!!

We stayed at Angel rest for 2 nights and had an amazing time. We ended up here after ordering food from them by takeout and then going to their restaurant to eat the next day. We loved the feel of the place, the food and the owners so much that we didn't want to leave. They cooked up amazing meals for us each day (always the chefs recommendation) and it was never a disappointment. You can go snorkelling, scuba diving, and whale watching with one of the owners and his company. We were also set up with someone for kite surfing lessons when everyone else was busy and very expensive. We would highly recommend this place to people staying in Kalpitiya and will gladly come back here for another vacation.
