Excellent food, good service. The cooking is a step jump above other establishments, hence the slightly higher prices. Highly recommended for serious foodies!! 👍😋

If you do nothing else in Luang Prabang, stop here and have the Slow Cooked Buffalo Cheeks with Chili Caramel. OMFG. It is truly to die for. The combination of the herbs along with the meat is a marriage made in heaven! We ate at the Blue Lagoon, La Rosa, L'Elephant, and numerous little restaurants during our visit in Luang Prabang, and this dish was by far the best meal we had while we were here. Our only disappointment was that we discovered this dish on our last day here. Other items on the menu may be great as well, but you MUST have the Buffalo Cheeks. I promise you will not be disappointed!

Great boutique hotel. Value for money. Big & cozy rooms with a balcony. Food is excellent, staff and owner very friendly & helpful. I had lost my wallet on a tour to the waterfalls (must see) & they helped me out with the bus agency to get my wallet back on time as I was leaving early next day. Can't say thank you enough & highly recommend the hotel. Location is great, right near everything but not too noisy.

Great value for the money. Conveniently located walking distance to the night market, temples, river cruise start, and nightlife street. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. They have a little patio area out front on the river to enjoy some drinks or have your meal. The free breakfast was delicious. We had no issues with any bugs or anything in the room. Room comes equipped with a comfortable bed, towels, soap/shampoo/lotion, a safe, and refrigerator. I would stay here again while traveling through the sleepy city of Luang Prabang.

The apsara is a nice restaurant by the river. The crispy pork belly papaya salad bahn mi was pretty awesome, it also had some basil in it. The prices reasonable. Good spot for lunch if you are by the river.

A wonderfully decorated hotel with charming staff. The food is delightful - strongly recommend the duck legs.

The rooms are a good size with plenty of circulation area. From my perspective, the only let down are the corridor areas. Very drab, especially upstairs with worn out grass matting. Bit odd, given the lovely floorboards elsewhere.

The Apsara Restaurant & Bar is part of the Apsara, an upscale boutique hotel set in a wonderfully-restored school building. The interior emphasises the former school’s open floor plan, with Vietnamese lanterns, a sleek wooden bar counter, and flourishes of bright fabric; while the outside terrace offers picturesque views over the Nam Khan river. The menu consists mainly of traditional Lao dishes, along with a selection of Asian and Western fusion cuisine. Highlights include the Lao sour and spicy fish soup; and the yellow curry with pumpkin, apple eggplant, bamboo, and Lao basil. Diners have the option of sharing their dishes in the traditional Lao style, or having the dishes served Western-style as individual courses.
