Newly renovated old Ritz Carlton hotel located in the heart of Gangnam shopping district. Great hotel staff and top notch facility, though room rate a bit pricey comparatively to other hotels in the area.

THEY ARE JUST NOT READY but somehow opened so early with no restaurant staff training. I made a reservation by phone to Elements for lunch, and the staff (I will address her Ms. N) was like 'so what? what? Oh you need a reservation?!?what? Cant hear you!!~~뭐라고요? 아 예약이요? 뭐라고요 다시 말해보세요?' I tried to keep my temper and just asked her name, since i felt something could be wrong with my reservation. And it happend. I booked a room for lunch and rechecked once by phone! But they guided us just to a table.. when i called her again why guests were not guided to the room, she said 'i have never mentioned that we have a room'.. haha.. the manager called back and courteously said sorry, but Le Merdien Seoul apparently needs more time.

My family decided to have a relaxing trip in Korea this Christmas. Two rooms were booked for my family (with two kids). Requested to have connecting rooms with one having king bed and another having twin beds. However, none of the request was satisfied as the person at frontdesk said the requests cannnot be guaranteed. As a famous 5-star hotel in the world, Ritz-Carlton has a slogan: "If you have a special request, let us know and we'll do our best to help where we can". This is just a joke. I would suggest the hotel in Seoul change the slogan as "we'll do our best NOT to help where we can".

Great accommodations, awesome service, and very friendly staff. Every time that I stay here I am well taken care of by the staff. The club (executive) staff always go above and beyond for us. The gym is well equipped and the sauna and hot tubs are top notch.

Service is top-notch and the staff are truly fantastic! The rooms are slightly dated and are scheduled for a full renovation. Highly recommend the buffet, swimming pool and spa during your stay - simply elegant. The best part about the Ritz-Carlton is its location. Incredibly easy to walk (or take the train on the corner) to all the best parts of Gangnam and the rest of Seoul. Highly recommend staying here for your business or vacation stay! My wife and I will be back.
