Hill house hotel was welcoming. The staff are friendly and helpful. We booked for the basement room. It was large, spacious and was equipped with basic amenities. Do bring your own soap and shampoo if you'd like to be more comfortable.

Understandably, the room can get stuffy as there are no windows but it wasn't a big problem. Breakfast array is basic but sufficient : toast, eggs, porridge and slices of meat.

Location : The climb to the hotel is not as steep as many have described. Though it would be challenging if you have large luggages.

How to get there : Nearest subway station is Hoehyeon station. Take the exit 5. Upon exiting you will see the lift across you and a CU market on your right. Cross the street towards the lift and turn right. Keep on going straight, You'll pass a spectacle shop on your right. Straight on, you'll soon see Subway across you, then turn right. Next to subway is Rex Hotel. You're almost there! Follow up the hill for another 5-10 Mins and you have reached Hôtel hill.

The place had been renovated with lots of great improvement. Staff is always friendly. Rooms is clean and have everything you need for the trip. Decent place for short stay over the weekend and save money.

My husband, daughter and i just returned from seoul after spending 5 nights at this hotel. We were very happy with the room which is roomy and clean especially the toilet that comes with a hot bath. The location is very strategic and easy access to the subway. There are many restaurants and shops along the way. The breakfast is another plus. We enjoyed our breakfast each morning. Surely look forward if we go back again.

Everything you can expect from a standard hotel at a very good price.
Would note a few things though:
- Wifi connection tend to be pretty slow.
- Bed sheets were stained: coffee or something else
- Room walls/air vents not very clean

Nice hotel in a great location. Room was large, with good service. However, the bed was stiff as a board!

I really get disappointed with the food, they make the same food everyday with less spice. I got really bored after two day, and there was little variations. Unless that, the location of the hotel is very good, we could walk to Myengdong for about 15 minutes and the N-Tower was very near the hotel.

Night staff is very friendly. Morning staff just wants to leave. Bring your own hygienic products and prepare for a very wet floor after your shower

Good location near a good train line, but the rooms are a little run down. The service was excellent and the staff quite helpful with good English.
