The worst place to stay in north korea. Come to America, it's better over here. They will never see this comment, they have no access to Google or the internet. Smh so sad 😂

Not a bad place to rest after a hard day of forced labor. When I was checked in I was surprised when the front desk attendant told me they have no door keys for guests. I was taken to my room by a couple of very serious bellhops (no kidding they had zero sense of humor) and told they would let me out to use the facilities in 3 hours. They never did come back and I have no idea where my luggage went. They did give me some very handy tourist guides telling me about the area and a complimentary set of handcuffs. I'll be honest, I was a little disappointed with the facilities. The room was dimly lit, I couldn't find an electrical outlet, there was no climate control and it smelled of urine. Despite the thick concrete walls I could still hear my neighbors arguing with what sounded to be the staff. Very rude! They had no Wifi and I tried to get a good cell signal with a phone I found in a chipped out block in the wall. Must be a dead zone for international carriers here but I was able to snap one picture before the phone died. During what must have been a recent earthquake my door lock rattled loose and I found my way to the bus stop. I don't think I'll make arrangements here in the future.

Dennis Rodman and I met for a late afternoon snack of purtrid moldy cabbage and slow roasted sewer rat. To add to the ambience we were both then shackled and beaten with bamboo canes over the course of the next hour! Smashing good time!

Be careful when you check into the Taedong Guest House, because you may never want to leave! In fact, a whopping 43% of guests never do! How's that for customer satisfaction, you capitalist pig anus? When booking, you can opt for luxury, indoor dormitory bunk beds, with 100 happy guests cozily squeezed into a gymnasium-style cell block. Or the hearty guest can opt to dig out a slit trench in the expansive backyard / refuse pile with a 1950's-era bayonet. Either way, you'll be treated to a North Korean breakfast of several calories!

All in all, its an above par Bed and Breakfast. We like the complimentary tea and biscuits and the welcome mint chocolate on the pillows were a nice touch. Victoria, my wife, thought the decor was quaint, but a little dated.

My only quarrel was the boiled eggs were a little over done and the bacon had a little too much rind on it.

I also thought the proprietors were a little off but I believe they were understaffed!

Would we stay here again? I think so! The countryside is great to take the vintage Austin Healey out for a spin and there is a lovely country pub near by.
