Really just not a pleasant stay for myself and my traveling companions. Not only were the beds fake, like those department store setups in Dillard’s, but there was no running water or electricity or gas or human rights or freedom or liberty or love or happiness or actual semblance of life in any way other than the life size paintings of Fat Kim and his Fat Dad, Fat Kim sr.
I should clarify, they did have mints on the pillows, hence the two stars.
The hotel staff insisted that I should go to sleep naked to enjoy a peaceful sleep in North Korean style. What they failed to mention is an untimely visit of Great Leader in my room from an open window.
quite literally the greatest hotel i have ever visited 10/10 kimchi even had a one night stand with the supreme leader herself, hilary clinton i liked the beautiful view of missiles and fireworks going off on the roof of the hotel love this place would recommend to anybody wishing for the trip of their lifetime
The emphasis on the 'gang' when the roof of the other hotel caved in and I had to relocate, the program that I installed on my laptop for free dial up locked up my computer Next thing I know they ganged up on me and tied me to a pole with a blindfold and a cigarette. Very uncomfortable but a nice free smoke really could taste the asbestos filter. Sadly those poor gang member. (I call them the camo gang) get crushed by the hotels front sign.
Suffice to say I now have lung cancer.
Very nice hotel! I stayed in the room next to Kim Jong Un. I could him talking, practicing his orientation, and it sounded like angels talking. He knew I was spying on him, and he attacked me. Because he’s so fat, he broke my rib cage, and I had to go to the hospital. There was no food in this hotel, but who cares about food when you have the Supreme Leader sitting in the room next to you.

We enjoyed a pleasant nights stay that was only occasionally interrupted by automatic weapons fire from a nearby execution.
Really nice staff and accommodations, my kids worked here for a year and a half, and the they really loved it! They said that they were forced to say that, but I know they loved it. Although there was something very suspicious about this place, the toilets had 17,000 different sections for different genders. I got arrested and sent to labor camp for picking the wrong one. I got sent to prison for 77 years in the same camp as my daughter Quanchello, we were together in the same cell for 77 years and she got 85 at the water park, so I came out earlier. I later came back and gave my review today. The end.
Really comfortable and nice staff.
Too much dictatorship
Laid in bed all night listening to the fella in the room next to me, pleasure himself to the leaders propaganda. I got bored with listening so I grabbed my sandpaper and I joined in. Finished in record time.
Ordered room service 2 days ago. Still nothing
Party central!
The pool was empty. Would not recommend.
Lovely establishment, only problem was that none of the toilet seats or sinks were connected to plumbing, it's almost like this place is some kind of ghost-city. The bellhops didn't accept any tips (very generous of them) and my entire room was bugged to make sure I got what I needed when I said I wanted it! Also the staring photos of the great leader were comforting.
The Potongang Hotel is a boutiquey upscale hotel in Pyongyang consisting of only 5 or so stories. There are several types of rooms in different sizes, ranging from standard double rooms to deluxe rooms consisting of an office, kitchen, etc. Koryolink, the national cellular carrier is based on the top floor of the Potongang Hotel.
