I really enjoy outdoor adventures esp, riding mountain bikes This is a great outdoor experience away from city hustle and bustle..
I go here anytime to take a load of
Great park to hike or cycle. So some climbing, visit the amazing gorge. And don't forget to visit the thermal baths at the end of your stay.
Great park for a weekend getaway. You could hire out a bike, hike or self drive through the park. You could also visit the Olkaria Health Spa within the park to soak up in the naturally heated pools.
This is the highlight in Naivasha. The most silent and peaceful park. A lot of animals and no predators. You can take a bike ride to the gorge and then walk down the gorge with a guide. A very different experience to ride a bike in the presence of animals. The gorge is beautiful and has few hot springs. A must visit spot in Kenya.
I really enjoyed this place so much. Being out in the wild with nature is very relaxing for me. I loved cycling in the park, however, they should increase the number of bikes since some tend not to have an opportunity to ride. Rock climbing was quite exciting and nothing that I expected. Loved it
A good gate-away for those who want to escape the bustling city life and attain peace and tranquillity for a day. It's a one-and-a-half hour drive from Nairobi.
Apart from the wild animals and the hiking, I also loved the Geothermal Spa.
Visit here and you'll never regret.
Gate entry takes too long, as kws is back to using the old ticketing system.
The campsites are not maintained or cleaned after other campers have stayed over.
Non of the ablution blocks work and is quite a disaster.
They don't warn campers at gate entry to be weary and vigilant about baboons.
As a popular and high traffic park, rubbish is becoming a serious problem and there are no systems in place to help or curb the situation.
Going to the gorge for a hike is becoming increasingly unappealing as you get harassed by so called 'guides' that want to take you through. Also, there are no limits on the number of people they allow to walk the gorge which is a security issue.
Road network is deteriorating and the lack of signage doesn't help.
Increased encroachment of farms around the park and the geothermal farming within the park is affecting the habitats of plant and animal life.
Cows and goats also roaming the park.
Otherwise a beautiful park.
A very exciting place to visit. It's well known for it's wildlife and the gorge "Hell's Gate". There are also rock climbing equipment for the Central and Fisher's towers. Visitors are able to hire bicycles and ride through the park. Then the Ol Karia spa is just nearby, making Hell's Gate park one of the most visited.
A great place for safari drives, rock climbing, trail cycling. Also has picnic sites. If you want an outdoor gateway for the weekend this is a wonderful place!!😊😊
if you are a true adventurer take the bikes at the gate, get a guide and explore hell. wonderful experience with everything. will be back. also ask for Daniel-the best guide.
I have camped at Hells Gate 3 times now. I love the camp sites. They have clean facilities. Cold shower and running water. They have a cooking shed and place to make a fire. Like a fire pit.
The camp site is on a cliff that gets dope sunrise views. You do have to buy your own firewood at the main entrance as you're not allowed to use the trees in the park.
In terms of wildlife we saw zebra, giraffe, hyena, gazelle and more. You can also walk in this park and cycle.
Lovely park to visit with family. Especially the Geothermal Spa. My kids loved it! Visited three times and will be going back for a fourth trip soon ;)
A great small park, the first glimpse is the narrowing canyon, high and sheer. On top and stripping those cliffs, the overwhelming jungle and the screams of the baboons from within the trees. Incredible. Very nice one-day visit. They have a lot of activities like biking or hiking.
Absolutely fabulous. We enjoyed the scenic beauty during the bike ride. It's a must do. The climb down is a bit steep, so wear good footwear and go in good weather.
A good place for a weekend getaway. 1 hour drive from Nairobi. You can carry your food and drink or order from the restaurant at the geothermal spa. There is a naturally heated pool. One can go bike riding , hiking or better still do some rock climbing.
Hells Gate is a beautiful getaway from Nairobi. Although it's a fairly small park, there is plenty on offer for a day trip. The drive, bike ride, or even run through the park is fun with the number of animals on display. The gorge is a great place to visit. Although be careful not to overpay for a Masai guide. The front gate says guides are "NOT" mandatory, but they will tell you otherwise at the gorge. Make sure to negotiate a price before accepting any guidance, but it can be worthwhile to have a knowledgable local along. Beyond the dirt road in the park, all you will find are pipes and white gas filling the air. The drive through the geothermal power plant area is fascinating, but it detracts from the feel of the national park. The geothermal spa is interesting, but expensive. You cannot take personal food inside, and if you have small children under 10, they will not let them get in the big (nice) pools. When we visited, the small kids pool was less well-kept and not as clean as the large pool. My kids were very disappointed, and the "lifeguard" was kind of rude. I would say avoid the spa altogether and invest your time in the park itself.
Great for a bike ride or just driving around while viewing wild animals. Warthogs, zebras, gazelles and some giraffes are most common. Entry is 300bob per person and also 300 bob for car entry. You can also hire bikes.
This tour was amazing! I was travelling alone and my guide Steven made my day perfect. He was very kind and trying to make me feel satisfied as much as he could. He also gave great suggestions. I would recommend everyone being in Nairobi to do this tour because it is the perfect 1-day tour
This place is absolutely amazing. The caves, the paths and the animals at the gorge was just fantastic. Later on I got to visit the olkaria spa and i loved every minute.i would go back again anytime.
The views are nice if you stay on the main path, we did it by bike (available at the Elsa Gate). It is sade that half of the park is taken by power plans which destroys the wildlife and views. Nice giraffes, warthogs and zebras though.
Fun, challenging but yet easy If you seek a thrill, best place to go Plus try timing yourself
Beautiful scenery. I recommend visiting it by bike. Some animals get quite close to the roads.
This is an awesome place to visit. I loved the Gorge Cave, the winding paths around there heading to the Devil's Bedroom.
The variety of wild animals ranging from buffalos 🐃 to warthog to giraffes
You are gonna enjoy it.
This place is simply the lost world. The scenery is totally out of this world.
Amazing view, i love the beautiful biking baths you can do. Rock climbing is really fun. After you exercise you should relax at the sulphur springs.
Very nice place. Can cycle amongst beautiful wildlife. There are some great spots for rock climbing as well. Be sure to take a dip in the sulphur springs by the Olkaria gate.
One of the parks where you can safely hike and bike with a wide range of landscapes and attractions including the hot spas and springs.
Great tourist attraction location. Nice place for hiking and mountain biking. Good place
