Not an enjoyable experience. May have saved money on the hostel but it showed. "Futons" were actually two normal blankets on top of each other, and the pillow was the most uncomfy pillow I have ever used - about 2cm thick. Other customers very loud late at night and stomping around slamming doors early in the morning. If you need a cheap place you can give it a try, but if you want a good night's rest look elsewhere.

Great location and good price. As I'm pretty anti social in hostels I did not feel pressured to socialize and could leave and come back when ever. The bathrooms are clean and modern but towel rental was 500¥ so we went to a bath house instead. The Japanese futons were of low quality (two thick blankets only) and not very thick and the pillow was like sleeping on a book. Our stay would be better if these last two things were improved. I will not be staying here again because of this.

The worst hostel I have never been. Dirty, untidy, my linens were with hairs (what makes me to suppose that they were dirty); although it was paid, I had to book another allocation and leave it. Nothing to do with the pictures on web page

The hostel is a shieet, the rooms and bathrooms are dirty, and the staff makes A LOT of noise at night. Do not go, they're screaming all night.

Renting towels service is pathetic. I was given a towel for my hands to use it for full body.

    Dont go there

Very friendly staff, clean rooms and bath rooms, good location. I enjoyed my stay at Peace House Sakura for this cheap price. The only negative point: Wifi is really bad if you have a room downstairs.

Great place to save money. Beds were fine. Bathrooms on every floor. They have a fridge where you can store food.

Staff is very friendly. Place looks like a small house made hostel. Good place if you want to save money. It has the necessary comodities to spend the night.

Placed just out of a reasonable bus route. The Gion district is an easy 20 minute walk however. It provides everything you'd expect from a hostel stay. As such overall experience depends on your expectations, the roullete of other guests staying, and your ability to make your own fun.

Come live at this place only if you're not a light sleeper or you sleep with ear plugs because the walls are thin and you can hear everything in the hallway and downstairs. I showered early everyday so there was not a problem waiting. Other than that. Budget place. It's far from the nearest station so be prepared to walk.

Do you like waiting in line to use the bathroom? Do you like sharing a shower with other guests?
Do you like a narrow hotel lobby crowded with the shoes and bags of others?
If so, then this is the hotel for you!
Honestly, this is a crappy dump best suited for students and vagabonds who can't afford a real hotel,
and who don't mind hearing doors slam and conversations in adjoining rooms.
    YUCK!!
