Really nice service, all the ladies who work there are really friendly. Breakfast was yummy and very convenient to transport to and from this location (close to 206 bus towards kiyomizudera and steps away from Kyoto station). The baths were clean, gender separated and usually quiet so it's like having the place to yourself - highly recommended! :)

Perfect location across from a gigantic temple, just 10 minutes walking from the train station and 20 to the best market. Joyful and friendly staff that speaks enough English, but not so much that it ruins the authenticity of the experience. The rooms are so cute and comfortable with ice cold A/C. The bathhouse was interesting. The real highlight was the superb breakfast and dinner. We tried so many new little Kyoto specialties prepared by the owner. In short, stop looking around and book this place. You'll love it!

It was a very clean and friendly place to stay. The hotel staff were nice and helpful and the whole hotel had an atmosphere of traditional Japan. The delicious, traditional breakfast was served at a good time in the morning and was very intricate and unique. The location is right near a train station and accessible. Just down the road is a big store called Kyoto-Yodobashi for those interested in tech, with many floors to explore. From the train station, you can travel almost anywhere in Japan, and using the Shinkansen (bullet train) is a delightful ride. Overall amazing service and very friendly staff who speak quite a lot of English. Would definitely reccomend to those looking for a hotel in Kyoto, and I encourage you to try the traditional communal bathing room as it is a fun, although odd experience.

Not only a great room, great atmosphere, great food and great staff, the owners invited us to watch a maiko and geiko performance, something I thought I'd never see in my life. Absolutely wonderful.
