Quite good Place for a budget trip. Stuffs were nice. Our room was tatami though, but for a boy's trip it was an awesome choice. Recommended
Internet bad quality. No elevator.
High price.
Plus: This hotel is a good option of you need budget accommodation in Kyoto. To location is quite good, the Higashiyama area is at walking distance. There is also a large 7-eleven around the corner where you can have an excellent breakfast. :) The staff is also very helpful and friendly! Overall, the hotel is not bad for the price you pay, but they should really renovate ASAP and do a better job at cleaning the place.
Minus: The hotel really needs a general renovation. Our rooms was refurbished recently, so it was OK, however the other room (Japanese style) in which our friends stayed was very old and it was not pleasant to stay in it. Try to avoid the non-refurbished Japanese style rooms if you are staying here! Also, the rooms were not very clean. We had stains on our sheets and on the bean bag which was in the room, there was dust on the furniture everywhere. Our friend's Japanese style room was even worse. The common areas except around the reception are also very worn down and do not seem to be very clean. There is also no elevator, however the staff was very kind and helped us with our luggage.
Good location. Several sight seeing spots nearby. The rooms are a bit old, but it gets the job done. The bathroom is a little small. I'm 150lbs and I felt like a giant. Anyone over 200lbs or over 6 ft tall would have a problem. Also disappointed that my room lacked a bidet. It's Japan! Even public restrooms have bidets.
Clean and comfortable. We got the tatami room which we slept in comfortably. Bathroom was small but functional. Very pleasant and helpful staff.
I can't say it's the best place to stay in Tokyo. The prices are fair but the hotel is far from the center and the rooms aren't that clean.
Service was great. The bed wasn't the best but it was a place to crash. I enjoyed the onsen and the hotel's close proximity to temples, food, and the art museum.
Clean hotel, very friendly staff, and traditional Onsen to feel the culture of old Japan. A+
