This place is great for the price and location. The staff was very friendly and I had the fastest checkin ever. The room are larger than average Tokyo hotel and in the middle of trendy Ginza and walking distance from the famous finish market.
We had an amazing relaxing stay where the staff was very helpful to discover around.
The hotel is clean and non smoking.
Will comeback for sure!
We had a wonderful time staying at the Mercure Tokyo Ginza. The room was small but clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely with a buffet and plenty of choices including fruit, cereal, and hot options such as sausages, bacon, eggs and hash browns. Staff were friendly and helpful.
We were offered a free upgrade to a larger twin room on arrival but we were happy with the room we had booked. We were also invited to the managers reception on Wednesday evening. Our room was comfortable, though like most rooms in Japan smaller than we have been used to. Breakfast was really good and service both friendly and efficient. The location is excellent in Ginza, with easy access to all parts Tokyo. I would definitely stay here again.
The location in Ginza is extremely convenient with access to shops, bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Business district is close by, our customers just twenty minutes by taxi.
The hotel can be reached from the airport using RT trains into Tokyo and then the subway.
Rooms clean and tidy, excellent service and great food. The hotel were also able to guide us to local restaurants. I will definitely choose this hotel for future visits to Tokyo.
The location is great that near 4 metro/JR stations.
Front desk staff are helpful. They speak English, and easily to communicate with.
Only limited choices available on breakfast buffet, and foods are not attractive. We didn't take breakfasts at hotel after the first day even we had paid for them.
The Mercure Ginza Hotel is the ideal oasis in the busy Ginza district close to the major attractions in Tokyo. The combination of French and Japanese styles is splendid and gives the Mercure its own style. A big thank to your wonderful friendly staff and for your nice surprise in the room.
I'm looking forward for the next time staying with you.
Awesome location in Tokyo Ginza, right on the door step of the shopping strip. Room is quiet and comfortable. TV is a bit small but not a place to watch TV anyway. Bathroom is a bit on smaller side but OK to use. Only 2 lifts servicing all the floors and can be a bit crowded during peak time. Didn't try the food but you are in middle of Tokyo, no reason to eat hotel food if you don't really have to. Reception on 2nd floor, can't see any concierge or bellboy service at hotel entrance on first floor which is the biggest opportunity for this hotel. View is of another building, can't expect much being in middle of Ginza. All in all a good place to stay to explore Tokyo.
The rooms were comfortable. The breakfast didn't cater to vegetarians very well. Limited selection. There is also nowhere to sit in the hotel. So when my travel companions and I asked if we could sit in the dining room, we were allowed to for approx 30 mins but then we were dismissed by the hotel (I can only assume was a ) manager. This is the same man that was not very friendly or open or approachable. Also he made a show of berating the wait staff during breakfast. Even though he was doing it in French, it was still obvious what he was doing and added to the discomfort. The staff, I felt, were doing a great job and deserved a little appreciation.
The staff were happy to hold onto our bags when we were checking in and out which was a great help. Also as we were a large group we were expecting a little help from the staff about booking a restaurant. They pointed us in a general direction but we ended up walking around for an hour trying to find a place as the place recommended was full.
Good breakfast compare to other 4 star hotel but when we want to have dinner, the chef is not in the restaurant so there were only 3 menu to be served. Location good. Hospitality good. With Accor Plus member we get 50%discount on the breakfast.
The Front Desk Staff were very helpful! Some of our luggage that were delivered to Mercure Hotel ahead of us were complete and ready for us when we arrived! Then the Wheelchairs we rented were well handled and safe kept for us everyday. Smiling Front desk staff. Helpful in everything! One of us left his shoulder bag in the bullet train. The staff was quick to call and alerted the train company. We got back the bag the day after. The staff were very patient to all our requests. We have enjoyed eating good food in places they have suggested and they were able to get reservations for us! The amazing thing they did for us was when they brought our 21 luggage to the bus that was bringing to the airport. It was parked about two blocks away from the hotel and there was no complain from them. And the leader of the staff was the Manager himself! WOW!
