Reasonably sized rooms considering the standard in Japan. Our room had two adjoining twin beds. Check in and check out was a breeze. Walking distance to Nishiki Market. Two stations away from Kyoto train station—the nearest station is Shijo subway, a mere 100 meters.
There are many convenience stores (Lawson’s, Family Mart, 7-11), restaurants and bars a few hundred meters from the hotel.
Vending machines are located on the 2nd and 8th floor. There is a restaurant in front. The only drawback? No complimentary bottled water (the faucet water is okay to drink) and no coffee inside the room.
The shower has strong water pressure and toilet bowl is standard: w bidet, seat heater. TV has no english channel. No safe box in the room you have to ask the reception for a locker downstairs.response / report this review -

Rooms might be a bit small for two ppl but that much can bei expected in Japan, still the rooms an the Service ist great and it's pretty much in Central Kyoto (maybe 20 minutes walking from the main Station )

Very new hotel with modern rooms and a nice breakfast buffet. Great pick for a combination of comfort and convenience (location). Short taxi ride to most tourist locations mean taxi fare is more or less the same as the sum of public transport for 3-4 people. Concierge was very helpful. Complimentary loaner umbrellas also available.

Decent hotel with nice staff. You need to take another subway to get here from Kyoto station and the subway is crowded during rush hour. Even though it's walking distance to some areas I'd say stay closer to Kyoto station if it's your first time in Kyoto for transport convince.

Located very close to shijo station, room is not as new as the one in tokyo but sufficient. Our bathroom has unpleasant smell
