Nice ryokan near the temples in Gion. The room we had has very pleasant. No real view to speak of. But the decor was very nice. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. They store your shoes in the front and serve you meals in your room. We were very pleased overall.

The staff was amazing and the meals we got were some of the best Japanese food we have ever had! It was sooooo much food and the room was exactly what we expected from a ryokan.

First time in a ryokan. It's been pretty good, worth a try if you haven't stayed in one before. Definitely get the traditional Japanese breakfast, a huge but healthy meal and beautifully presented! There is also a public bath on the ground floor for guests to use. The receptionist who greeted us was nice but showed no emotion at all! I didn't like the fact that they allow smoking in the reception area, not a pleasant smell as you walk in. I'm sure there are much better ryokan out there but you have to pay much more for those. Our two night stay was around $720 AUD.

Easy access to downtown and super duper friendly hosts who speak English and Chinese and give good advices for visitors.

Scortesi. Pagato 200 eu a notte per un ryokan per nulla tradizionale. Palazzone in cemento e stanza con vista batteria di condizionatori.

Not great. We stayed in a couple of traditional Japanese style hotels. This one was the biggest let down. It is right in the middle of the tourist area (so if priced higher). The staff don't really speak English but are friendly enough. However the food really was a let down - really tasteless - sadly the server also had really bad breath which didn't help in building an appetite for the food.
