Lots of room, free ramen, great onsen, professional staff, and reasonable price. One of my favorite hotels I've been to in Japan so far.

We stayed at Dormy Inn Umeda Higashi in May 2017. The staff were very welcoming and spoke English. We had to hand our key over to Reception whenever we went out and collect it when we returned. The noodle dish that was free was really nice for Supper. The Onsen on the 8th floor was fantastic! Very clean and tidy throughout. The hotel was within walking distance to the Airport Shuttle beside the Umeda train station. We could access this bus stop through the train station walkway. It was really convenient to take the Airport shuttle bus to Kansai Airport. I would definitely recommend this as it was central and we could walk to shopping centres, the Osaka Castle, the malls, and experience busy Osaka life. It wasn't very noisy in the room either.

Cozy and nice hotel with hot spring and complimentary supper (soba soup). Location is strategic to access famous tourist hot spots of Osaka and Kyoto with two subway lines nearby the hotel.
I have given 4 stars because there is a little distance to walk from MRT to the hotel and vice versa. Worst case, one of the MRT platform does not have elevator!
As this hotel do provide shuttle bus from Hotel to Osaka station (one way only), hope the hotel authorities would consider have two-way shuttle bus to open more convenient to customers.

No frills, small but clean hotel. Don't expect this to be a fancy place. It's really just a clean place to sleep. Their keys are old school actual keys so as a woman, I was worried about security. They should really move to the 21st century and get some key cards.

Very convenient, close to Subway station, free onsen, complimentary of noodle at 9.30pm-11pm, no charge of washer machine and only 100 yen for dryer.
