落合宿本陣を訪問しました。1800年代初めに建築されて以来、大きな改修をすることもなく、今に至るまで当時の様子を伝えています。明治天皇が宿泊されたこともある歴史的な建物です。日本の伝統建築に関心がある人やそうでない人にも、一度は見ていただきたいですね。見学が終わったら、近くの古民家カフェ清蔵で、美味しいコーヒーを楽しむのがおすすめです❗

妻籠から中仙道を通って歩いてきました。ほとんど昔の名残は残っていませんが、昔の建物が少しだけ保存されています。本陣は是非見学開放したほしいです。

Almost every tour on the classic Nakasendo walk will tell you to start from Magome to Tsumago but if you like to extend it a little I suggest to start from here. If you come by train, take the local one to Ochiaigawa station and reach this place that marks the old spot of the former "juku". From here take the street that goes south and crosses the main road. After that you can't go wrong, the path is clearly marked. Even if you don't speak japanese, when you're not sure just look for 中山道. Or just ask, anyone will be glad to help you.
