It was awesome. Thanks for making my downtime so amazing. The room was well kept, the bars were stocked, restaurants were fully loaded and the vibe was midway between fun and relaxing

4 star is 4 star. Pool bar closes at 6pm. Are you kidding me? Only one bar [lounge bar] open on the luxury side after 6pm. Night life is touch and go. Room is nice, butler service is amazing(Richard), food is great and plentiful. Resort is beautiful and workers are constantly maintaining and keeping the place top notch. Drinks keep flowing with hardly no wait. Bring you own big cup with a lid. They will fill it up. This is day 3. When you pay for luxury you dont expect them to shut everything down on the luxury side at 11pm. It turns into a ghost town. If you want to do anything after 11 you have to hike to the other side of the resort on the Grand side or take a golf cart over. This is ridiculous! There needs to be some changes for the ratings to get better.

My husband and I stayed at the Luxury Bahia Principe, Runaway Bay in Jamaica from April 4-13, 2018. This resort is huge, since staying at Luxury Bahia you have access to the neighboring Grand Bahia Principe.
Pros: Beautiful resort. Friendly staff. Numerous restaurants to choose from, with great food. Large, uncrowded pools. Clean rooms. Although we didn't use it, there's a nice size waterpark for kids.
Cons: Be prepared to walk a lot, since resort is so large. Adults only isn't enforced, therefore paying extra money for adults only is a waste of money. You could stay on the Grand Bahia side and cross over to Luxury Bahia for much less.
Overall, great experience. We would definitely stay here again, but we wouldn't waste money to stay on the Luxury side.response / report this review -

I had more fun than anybody! Really! First vacation by myself. Not sure what to expect but it certainly past my expectations. The resort itself including the grand as well as luxury are a must see. After being at the Grand Bahia Principe in San Juan Dominican republic which I loved, last year for a friend’s wedding, I was extremely impressed. The pools were much nicer the sand in the beaches were much nicer and clean. The only problem with this resort is it size and the amount of stairs. However the benefit for me is I probably lost 5 pounds and feel great with all the exercise I got. Activities during the daytime were a lot of fun and allowed me to meet so many people from all over the world. However I really could not believe everything shuts down at 11 PM. As my time zone is two hours ahead I was not ready to stop partying at that time. I really believe with all the activities the spa service and everything that these resorts offer it really is better designed for couples and families in parties not the best for a single person but I still managed to have fun. The thing that really bothered me and a lot of other people I talk to was the fact that the nude beach is as far away as you can get from the adult only section and to close to the kids section. What were you guys thinking?

An excellent experience. The staff are respectful and professional. The food and drinks with the all inclusive package is definitely satisfactory. There are many activities and places to visit near by. I recommend everyone to come here it’s safe, clean and the staff will tend to your needs. While you are here you can simply call the desk or sent a request via the resort app and your issue will be resolved within minutes no matter he hour.

So, for our very first trip to Jamaica we were fortunate enough to have selected a top notch resort. I could very easily write a book about all of the wonderful things this property has going on, but in the interest of brevity let's just say, Wow! From the moment we walked through the front entrance it was a wonderful experience. The entire staff was welcoming and hospitable, they helped make the entire experience amazing! Food? Awesome! Property? Clean and well maintained! Room? Gorgeous and always clean! Bars? Well stocked and expertly tended! If there was one thing I could change about the property, and I understand this is petty, it would be the adult side pool. The pool is divided into three sections by bridges over the water. there is no way to get from one section to the other unless you get out of the pool and walk to the next section. The swim up bar happens to be in the center section, so, if you want to get a beverage on the swim up side of the bar you have to exit the pool, re-enter the pool and go to the bar. Like I said, petty, and it never once kept me from enjoying the swim up bar, which was so much fun. Personally, I would return in a heartbeat!

Six of us spent a week at this amazing resort. The staff was very hardworking and friendly. Food was appetizing. Many different items to choose from at the buffet. The specialty restaurants had awesome food. Beautiful, well maintained facility.

Hi,
My recommendation is to book the all inclusive stay with the resort. Book with the Luxury Bahia side of the resort if you are bringing just your spouse if a group of friends as it is "Adults Only" side of the resort. Book the Grand Bahia if you are bringing the while family with young children. Your entire stay is prepaid. You won't have to purchase food, drinks, soft drinks nor mini-bar liquor. It's all included. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely take advantage of this opportunity again.response / report this review -

Have had a beautiful vacation at this lovely resort. The staff have been so welcoming and fun. The Entertainment staff work so hard to make sure people are enjoying their stay. The resort is clean and very comfortable. Something for everyone. Fabulous food and restaurants. We are very happy with our choice to spend our vacation here.

The food was amazing! We had little trouble confirming our reservations for dinner at the A la cart restaurants. The beaches were beautiful. The drinks were plentiful and delicious. The resort was extremely well taken care of,our room was cleaned thoroughly. I went down last week for my Honeymoon and we're thinking about booking again in July!

Took care of all our needs and requests. Asked to switch to a quieter room and was taken care of. Asked for a fan for our room and was accommodated. The food is great and the drinks are as well. For those that gave a rating under 5 stars I honestly don’t understand what would make you think that way. It’s a great place.

Pros: Jamaica is beautiful. Premium restaurants are very good. Almost every staff member will offer you ganja for sale.
Cons: The beach is terrible (pretty much nonexistentit's a short strip which is surrounded by a rocky seawall. It isn't more than 2-3 feet deep. The call center is very difficult to deal with when you have booking problems.response / report this review -

Beautiful facility, clean, friendly staff, many restaurants with great food, many pools and loved the Dive Shop! Had an over all great experience, loved the place and people! A few things that they need to work at; we waited over two hours to get from airport to Luxury on a large bus; I paid for 3 people in room, and only received bedding, towels, cups, coffee and all for 2 people; swimming area in front of Luxury is very small. My favorite place that I have stayed at in Jamaica , I recommend this place to all.

We booked an impromptu trip after a particular stressful year. Luxury Bahia Principe didn't disappoint. The staff was warm and friendly and we enjoyed the food. The grounds were meticulously manicured and the views stunning. I wish that by having the luxury band meant being able to order premium drinks on the Grand side without charge, but that didn't affect our vacation. We loved it and will be back.

Amazing hotel. Great experiences. Top notch rooms. Wonderful staff! It's a great value for your money! You won't regret it! However the beach needs some major work. Not a good look for such a luxurious hotel.

Great place, great staff. Beautiful views, white sandy beaches that are combed and cleaned daily. Pool is huge and immaculate, staff scrubs the entire marble pool deck nightly. Buffet has good nights and could be better nights, but overall there is always literally hundreds of choices and all the food is well prepared and tasty. The vast majority of the staff are genuinely friendly and eager to help. They all seem to have just as much fun if not more than the guests making the interactions with them a joy rooms are beautiful and clean nicer in person than in the pictures. Highly suggest to ignore any 1 or 2 star reviews as after staying here.. someone with that negative of a review must be someone that is near impossible to pleaseMy wife is rarely impressed by anything she loved it here worth every cent.

This Isour first all inclusive we'd LOVE it!! The staff is friendly, full of energy 😃😃 they do all kinds of activities everyday. The food is delicious, big selection to satisfy all. They have 7-8 restaurants on site to choose from for evening meals. Disco, shops, and tones of excursions to choose from. Don't think about booking just do it 😊 we will be back! Thanks Luxury Bahia Principe, Runaway Bay. My only negative thing that I would have (but not that big) is if they had good gluten free and dairy free desserts.

For the most part our stay was awesome! The room's decor was great, the food was great, except their sushi which isn't all that, that's the only thing I ate which I definitely thought could be better. The disappointment came at the end when my husband and I left a bag with our shoes in our room after checking out and when we called lost & found it somehow was never recovered, even though we know for a fact we left it there. Also the beach isn't the best Jamaica has to offer even though it's on the north coast, pretty shallow for strong swimmers who really want to enjoy that experience but there are many pools!

This resort was absolutely amazing! My best friend and I stayed there for a week for my birthday trip. The resort was beautiful, the food was pretty good especially at the Brazilian steak house restaurant. This was my first time visiting Jamaica and the staff helped us feel at home. During our stay there Cheyenne, Kevon, and Jason were our "go to people". They went over and beyond to help accommodate us! They were super friendly and very knowledgeable. Regardless of how busy he was, Kevon would always stop and answer any of our questions and help us with what ever we needed and with a smile!Oh and I can't forget about the pool bartenders! They were a lot of fun and really helped us unwind! I would definitely recommend this resort and I can't wait to book my next trip there!!!

Excellent Resort! Excellent staff. Nothing is ever perfect. Do not look at the bad reviews see for yourself.Go with a open mind, a positive attitude, and great expectations and you will have a grand time. It was my husband's first time and he wanted to extend his stay We couldn't because we had to go back to work. This place is like PARADISE!! Great staff ever. Super talented Overall awesome vacation. I love it!

Great place to vacation! All staff and security are very friendly and always say hello. Cleaning staff are constantly doing their job. Lots of choices of places to eat during the day and evening. Jerk chicken is delicious!!! Many choices of pools to sit near. However, at times may be difficult to find a seat. Overall experience at luxury grand Bahia principe was excellent!!!

I had a very enjoyable, relaxing stay at Bahia Principe in Jamaica. The room was relaxing and comfortable. The staff and people were friendly and helpful. Food was great and the restaurants offered tasty, satisfying cuisine. Also, the weather, pool, beach and activities were magnificent!

This resort was amazing. From the moment we arrived, until the minute we left, the staff treated us like royalty. Genuinely happy to do their job, these people do their work with such smiles on their face it is contagious. Delicious food was always available, no matter the time. Concierge was able to answer any and all questions we may have had. Room service, butler service, and housekeeping made it a point to make sure we had everything we needed without having to ask and did not stop until we were completely comfortable with our stay! The location was wonderful, and the resort is immaculately kept. Security at every corner, always asking if everything is alright. Beautiful pools, beaches, and scenery. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be returning!

My family vacations at least three times a year, this resort is definitely the place for you to visit. We couldn't have asked for better group of people to spend the weekend with. The resort was beautiful just like the pictures on the websitethe food at the buffet was really good especially all the native dishes.the beach barbecue party with the live band and DJ was very entertaining. We can't wait to return next year and renew our vows on the beach.
