We visited last summer and I can’t get over how amazing it was, so I am writing this review now.
1) The talent show. All kids should participate. They made my daughter feel so amazing and they were very kind to her. This made the trip so perfect.
2) All the food was absolutely amazing. I recommend the platinum restraunt, all the food was amazing and served amazing.
3) The room! It was beautiful and so cute how they decorated our towels with our sunglasses! At first mine and my daughters rooms were too far apart!! But they kindly moved us closer and I was very appreciative!!!
4) The water park was super fun and it was great for kids of all ages, and adults!!
5) The beach was beyond beautiful. Scuba Diving was outstanding and we went with our 11 year old, 14 year old, and 16 year old!

I definetly recommend this resort! It was so amazing and the staff made us feel amazing the whole time!

Good resort, pretty good food and the waiting staff is pretty good too. The highlight is the resort beach. You can snorkel right off the beach to find coral, lots of different fish, and sea urchins. Low point is the room and the slow response to room service. Make sure that the air conditioning vent is flipped open. ours closed somehow for 2 days, which caused everything in the room to get wet (the air conditioning dehumidies the air). My wife got electrocuted by one of the lights in the room - nothing serious, but her arm hurt for a day and a half.

Believe it or not we may return, it is less expensive but it's still a pretty good Resort even with its room faults.

the combined staff effort to make guests comfortable.
Obvious effort was made to serve a wide adequate/array of foods to satisfy all palates.

My husband, daughter, sister, bro-in-law, and I stayed 4 nights mid February. The food and drinks were good. The rooms definitely could use some renovations, but we did not spend much time there so it was fine. The entertainment was good and the staff was mostly kind and accommodating. I would recommend this place for families with children, having said that, the children did not bother us. There were plenty of chairs and shade (if desired) on the beach. Our housekeeper, Evonne, I think her name wasshe was the sweetest girl ever. The Dunns River Falls excursion and snorkeling was amazing, thanks for arranging that through the resort. It was an experience we will never forget. I left my glasses in the Japanese restaurant, if someone found my tortoise shell framed readers, I would love to have those back.

First time in JAMAICA in this resort was incredible for FAMILIES! The people are amazing and very warm and kind They LOVE US CANADIANS ;) YES The rooms are a bit old and need updated, BUT honestly everyone; who spends their time on vacation being inside a room all day and night??? I highly recommend this resort and place to everyone with kids You won't regret it and the food here is absolutely DELICIOUS!! Can't wait to come back and thank you JEWELS RUNAWAY BAY for such a PHENOMENAL experience. GOD BLESS AND CHEERS!!

All the encountered staff members were friendly and readily available to assist, however, all around the property is badly in need of a face lift. The food is average but the mixed drinks lacked flavour and originality. The beach onsite is one of the best that Jamaica has to offer and well kept as well. Though the property is far from luxurious, it would be suitable for a quick family getaway.

Customer service at this facility is top knotched. Big shout out to Raymond Hamil who was extremely attentive, polite and sincere. His customer service is simply amazing. The whole team customer service is second to none. I have stayed at multiple facilities and I've never had such amazing service. Keep it up!

Staff was out of this world! Especially security, they were super friendly and had great recommendations. Late night eats were great , being able to get some jerk chicken at 3am was perfect. Food was lacking at buffet and if you are going to have some fun I would suggest going off resort because everyone seemed to wrap things up by 11pm.

My husband and friends will be traveling to The Jewel in February for our 20+ visit! We enjoy the friendliness of all the Jamaican workers! In our many travels to this resort we have made friends from both US and Jamaica that will last a life time! The resort is lovely, and food is wonderful! Beautiful is the property itself! The new addition is the water park. It's so relaxing.. Even if you are a senior like us! I had my doubts when children were allowed at our adults only resort but it's not a problem! We always have a WONDERFUL visit!!!

This was a lovely experience for my husband and I. This being my first time ever out of country, my stay met all of my needs. There are 3 swim up bars, one open 24/7 (which was my favorite part). They treated us to many honeymoon amenities! Not a party place. If you are looking for relaxing and peaceful getaway, this is the place to go! The locals that work at the resort are so nice and are willing to do anything to make your stay there perfect!

Went there in November as part of a wedding. Was probably one of the best experiences of my life. The rooms were awesome, staff was super friendly and the food was to die for. So much selection for food and it was all amazing, I miss the food already. Picture perfect scenery and the grounds and buildings are so well maintained. Lots to do! They offer a lot of day trips, lots of water activities and quite a few are free. If you're planning a vacation I highly recommend this place, I already plan to go back in 2 years :)

Overall the stay was enjoyable. They have an ATM which issues US currency only. Property has several restaurants with only Japanese requiring advance booking. Place was well kept and staff were courteous. Live band show in the nights. They have designated smoking areas but I still saw some rule breakers. Kids can learn art and craft or go to the mini water park area. There are two giant water slides for adults plus a floating pool which is fun. Food bar is always a stone throw away - some open 24hrs. Just like their gym - however gym looked a little crowdy but had most of the common gears. And yeah, you get to carry food to your room. Room was very cool - literally. Channel available for everyone- I enjoyed HBO family. would have loved a door on the bathroom but I guess no one needs to hide from their spouse. A soon as we went out, someone came to renew our towels and make the bed. Rooms stop at two storey. Top level has no elevator, only stairs.

Loved it here. The room wasn't exceptional, nor the food but the property is nice. Lots to do, entertaining. Love the water park. Went with good company so that could affect my rating. The Japanese restaurant was disappointing. The Italian food was better but they burnt my rack or lamb. Would definitely go back though

Very family friendly resort. Lots of activities for kids and the food was pretty good. The rooms are not new but are maintained well. What I liked the most about this resort was how well all the areas were maintained. The public bathrooms were always clean and the pool, water park and beach were also constantly kept clean. The staff members also helpful and very thorough when caring for the guests.

Start this off with the beach! Amazing is the only way to describe the fish right out in the water. (Bring bread) The grounds are well kept and the staff is so friendly. Highly recommend this resort.

All inclusive resort, with a great water park and golf course. Several restaurants including a buffet and a couple fast food places for a quick bite. You are sure to find something you like. A beautiful beach, dive shop, sail boats, snorkeling, windsurfing, paddle boats, and a glass bottom boat to tour the reef. Top shelf liquor is available at the main Lounge but you will have to settle at the many other bars. Totally kid friendly with many planned events for multiple age groups, drop the kids off and enjoy a round of golf.

This is our favorite resort! The Jamaican folks and the great facility make this the most fun destination that we travel to! We have gone there at least once per year since they opened. That will continue! This is not the fanciest place you will find, however you will not find one where they try to take care of you better it is simply awesome!

The food was okay, The Jade Samurai restaurant had the best food. Not all but some of the front desk staff and bartenders were rude. The room was not the nicest or cleanest but tried to let it slide since my kids were having fun and I didn't want to ruin the vacation. My youngest child ended up having ants in his bed by the last day. I will not return to this resort due to the lack of cleaning in the rooms. The pools, restaurants, and water park were great.

My family (2 adults and 2 teen girls) recently visited the Jewel. It was incredible, and can't wait to get back.

From the minute we arrived, Castio took our bags and brought us to our room. He passed along a lot of useful info on the way. We met fantastic people while there. Go find Anthony at one of the many bars. He is very knowledgeable about the resort and the island. Ray works to pool deck like nobody's business. The entertainers are wonderful; not just for the kids, but also the adults. Sparkle, Trixie, and Pretty Boy (aka Popeye) are terrific. I'm hoping to find a way to keep in touch with them all.

The only downside to the resort might be the rooms. They are a bit dated, but for the amount of time you will spend in your room, they are fine.

There is so much to do at the resort. Pools, water park, bars, food, oceanyou name it, they have it. We will definitely be back!

I am enjoying myself. My butlers are wonderful and so is our room attendant(house keeper) I think her name is Charmaine. She does a very good job in the room and the bathroom was so clean and tidy she is a keeper. Very friendly all around. I'm having a blast. The kids camp attendants are remarkable our daughter can't get enough.

The people here are fun and friendly. Great atmosphere with so much to do. We haven't even left the property yet. I can barely get my kids to leave the water park, except maybe for snorkeling off the beach or eating at one of the great restaurants.

I had my wedding at this beautiful resort. The experience was magical. Jewel Runaway Bay offers excellent wedding packages with a dedicated team ready to execute your every wish (and more). I would recommend this location to anyone desiring to have a destination wedding in the Caribbean. Kudos to the wedding coordinating team and all other members of staff who cater to the needs of couples looking for an unforgettable experience. You are simply the best!

Food was enjoyed by the natives who accompanied me which spoke to the authenticity of the chefs and their culinary skills. Hospitality to natives was excellent, to not be overlooked because you are not a foreigner was real love in business. The beauty of the location is one of the best as with architecture.

My family and I stayed here last June and loved it! We thought we'd try somewhere else this trip. Big mistake. Nowhere near as friendly as the staff at Jewel Runaway Bay. Bigger is not always better. Wish I would have chose Jewel again.

Awesome: staff, kids club, beach, dive shop, water park, food.
Observed food staff washing their hands in the sink, hot foods were hot, cold foods cold, all delicious - Chef Frederick - great name, skills, and personality. Amazing life guards both on the beach and water park. Dive staff were extremely friendly, I'm sad I couldn't get more dives in. Kids club staff were amazing with the children - Lorna, Stacey Ann, Munchie, and the rest of the crew a big thanks. Room cleaning staff were okay. We unfortunately were unable to leave a tip each day and instead left a large tip the first day. Unfortunately we didn't receive any cool folded animals,etc, like other rooms did which bummed the kids out a bit. Our shower also didn't drain well when we arrived and it took several messages to cleaning staff and the front desk over several days before the issue was resolved. Realistically minimal issues for us when we were out enjoying the resort so much. All in all this was a great family vacation, highly recommended. Thank you Jewel and Jamaica.

Nice and cozy room. Beach, bar and pool are all acceptable and nice. The customer service is above average. There is not much options of food to eat. The salad counter was kept open which I don't like when I saw a few flies nearby.

This place was great! The room was a little small, but was workable. The ENTIRE staff is friendly, respectful, and willing to help. The lifeguards were especially friendly, and always playing around with the kids. The water park was fantastic and worked well for another thing to do with the kids. The food was excellent, no matter where you got it from.
