Restaraunts open for very short amount of time. Especially for small children. Dinner isn’t available until 6:30. Buffet was great although the same stuff everyday almost. French restaraunt was closed one night without any signs or notification (the only night we planned to go). The crepe place is tucked away outside by the pool but limited seating, to-go is nice too. All the food was really good.

    Hard to find everything/navigate.
They offer a stroller rental but the resort not stroller friendly, I found my self carrying the stroller and my daughter a lot.

We did a candle lit dinner for two, it was amazing and romantic. I suggest the bungalow and not the beach as everyone kind of watches you eat on the beach we saw.

Sesame Street stuff was fantastic, they do a character breakfast and each character individually meets your kid and takes pictures. Sesame Street shows everyday and even a random character appearance at restaraunts and parts of the resort.

They take pictures throughout your time at the resort, you need a wrist band in order to easily get them, no one told us. But they were more than happy to find the pictures for us.

Most of the staff was very nice and accommodating, even going out of their way to make us ice coffee and Frappuccinos which they aren’t equipped for but did anyway. They can be a little invasive though. Our 15month old daughter would sit in a high chair at meals, they would just come up and slide her away from our table. It was innocent enough I suppose but my wife and I were obviously uncomfortable and desperately trying to get our child to eat.

The room was spacious and comfortable, it was nice to have a ground level room and so close to the pool. Only complaint is that there are two steps/ledge that go down to a nice big seating area with a desk and coffee table. It wasn’t safe for our daughter. I had to take the coffee table and block the stairs.

Drinks and bars were awesome and delicious.

April was a great time to go. Hardly anyone there, never had to wait for anything. Overall a great time!

It was a beautiful place.. but even though you are not supposed (they wear buttons that say please do not tip) to tip.. the person who brings you to the room expects one. Also bring cash because there are people from the island on property and everytime you walk past them they try to guilt you into buying souvenirs.. and the two workers at the bar by the stage were really rude. Once I tried to ask for a drink and the guy came out from the back and the lady yelled at him to make my drink and stomped out of sight into the back. And neither of them would smile. There were some amazing and wonderful workers there but these two are what I really remember. The views were beautiful though and the room was lovely. It was a very clean resort.

If I could give this hotel 0 star you better believe I would. I went to Jamaica on a mission trip from Florida and after a long stressing week we decided to stretch back and relax at Beach Ocho Rios. WHAT a mistake. First off when we got to the gate they made us get out of the van and walk our way up to the hotel. Why couldn't our driver take us right to the front? We have no idea! While we were being interrogated at the gate a bus of other people came driving past and dropped their passengers off right at the front of the hotel entrance. Ridiculous right? I know. Continuing on the food was bland and had little to no taste. I mean yes the food should be good for all culture but your food taste like cardboard. I've been to places like Jewels where there is much more variety and delicious food. HERE'S THE GOOD PART. We bought a day pass for $80.00 or $85.00. You go in from the morning and the past ends at 5pm. We were in the pool when it hit about 4:45pm and the Hawk security came over and told us that the day pass was ending and we needed to leave. REAL PROFESSIONAL! If we bought a day pass and it ends at 5pm why are we being hunted down like criminals and told to leave after we did PAY FOR OUR STAY. They told us we need to get our things and leave the property. So to anyone looking to vacation, honeymoon, or just chill out here DON'T DO IT. STAY VERYYYYY FAR. Go somewhere else that appreciates their customers. And doesn't kick their PAYING customers off of the property. Jewels Runaway Bay was good check them out. This property needs a 3 year course on customer service. Very disappointing.

Although we absolutely loved the people of Jamaica, our vacation was not as satisfactory. Below is a list of the issues that we had in the 6 days that we were at Ocho Rios, Jamaica:
    1) SEWAGE OVERFLOW ON DECKS- On our 2nd day, heavy rains resulted in the overflow of sewage from above Neptune Restaurant, down the steps and on to the beach. It was literally a river of rain and sewage. My husband and I were both hit by it and walked through it because as we came up the stairs and around a corner from scuba diving, we did not see the flood until it was too late. We reported it to the front desk. All in all, it was a gross and undelightful experience.
    2) BOBSLED AND CHAIRLIFT BROKE- booked through Beaches- On our last full day, 3/20/17, we took an excursion that we booked at Beaches Ocho Rios to Mystic Mountain with our 2 children. We paid for the chairlift, zipline, and bobsled. We completed the bobsled and zipline, but the chairlift broke. We were the last group of the day. Our family was the next in line to go on the chairlift, but it broke at that moment. Many people in front of us were stuck on the chairlift. The staff made us wait at the end of the zipline on a crowded platform for over 45 minutes to see if they could get the chairlift moving. Finally, the employees had us hike up the mountain to catch a bus down the mountain, but the buses took over 30 minutes to get there. Overall, we were 1 ½ late getting back to Beaches Ocho Rios. As we were leaving, the people who were stuck in the air on the chair lift were still up there because they could not get it to work and it was getting dark. We complained to the Travel desk, but they said that since we did two of the events that there was no refund or compensation for the inconvenience.
    3) XBOX BROKE- Our X-Box in our room was broken and did not have the correct connector on arrival. We called the front desk our first night, but no one fix it until the 3rd day.
    3) NO TOWELS- Since we did a lot of sports during the day, we usually swam at night. However, 3 of the nights there were no towels in either of the 2 bins around the pool deck. The first 2 nights, one of us had to run up to the room (soaking wet) to get towels and bring them down for everyone. The weather was unusually cold and windy so my children were freezing.
    4) GROSS HOT TUB- The 2 days before we left the hot tub was cloudy, smelly and you could not see the bottom. It looked disgusting. With our history of seeing the sewage overflow, we chose to no longer go in the hot tub, one of our children’s favorite past times. As we were leaving to go home, we saw that they were draining the hot tub and pumping new water into it. The water was clearly different and you could see the bottom.
    5) NO WATER FOR SHOWER- We were scheduled to leave on 3/21/17 with a checkout time of 8:30am. When we went to take a shower at around 7:00am, there was no water for the shower or sink. We again called the front desk, and they said that someone would be up but with no ETA. After 10-15 minutes we decided to get dressed because we needed to pack and leave. We had to travel for 12 hours dirty and grimy from not showering.

    DO NOT GO HERE

Friendly staff. Great food and room. Stayed on the beachfront side of d resort. Great view of the ocean and only a quick walk to the beach. Restaurant options are good as well. Nightly entertainment. Kinda big so you may have to walk some distance for some of the amenities. Long drive. But great experience on property. Had a 30 minute massage at the spa Was absolutely relaxing. Overall good experience.

What a fabulous vacation at beaches in Ocho Rios! I have to brag about the staff there. Everyone, and I mean everyone, is incredibly happy, friendly, nice, respectful and Beyond accommodating. I was amazed how everyone remembered all of our names.

The beaches here has a beach of Their Own with water sports such as paddle boarding, sailing small cats, glass bottom boat rides, snorkeling, scuba diving and of course swimming. There is a main pool with a swim-up bar, a smaller pool and a small water park.

I cannot brag about the food as the food was average-at-best. However, this did not ruin our vacation at all.

If you like the beach and scuba diving, this is the place. Claudy the dive master taught my son how to Scuba, we had an amazing time because of him!

The employees are amazing. Always on the go and keeping the visitors entertained. The facility could use a little TLC. It may be all inclusive but they definitely work to get you doing our activities to make them money.

This place is amazing! We booked a week, Friday to Friday, for 10 of us. We went snorkeling, rode the banana and glass bottom boats, kayaking, paddle boarding, and so much more! Everyone is so personable, they make you feel like family. The staff makes sure to call you by name! The food is awesome too! Feel free to place any special orders! I could go on and on, but I'm trying to make the most of my final hours here! You need to book your trip now!
