Our 5th trip to Royal Plantation
We love the peace and quiet. All of the people are fantastic. Special thanks to Dacia and our awesome butlers Audel and Chadsworth

Very peaceful and relaxing. Quiet. The beaches are very beautiful. The service was great. They honestly treat you like you're apart of one big family. The staff know you by name and the food was amazing. I would go back there every year especially since I live in the city.

My husband and I are on our last full day of our trip and we will be sad to leave. We’ve really enjoyed the gorgeous views and the lush vegetation on this well planned resort. What made this trip unlike any other I’ve had, is the people. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Dancing and singing as they go about their day and always asking how you are. We’ve had a lot of opportunity to chat with various staff members and learn about their lives - everyone here seems happy. Adrian and Ashpole were our Sandals Butlers, a service which comes with every room here. They were really great and made our experience comfortable and convenient. Adrian at the beach bar gave us lots of laughs every day and was a truly friendly face to see during our stay - exceptional service and a really great guy. Cleon, who is the beach butler, is always smiling and always keeps the drinks full even at the very farthest part of the beach. Kennordo in the Wobbly Peacock pub will show you more magic tricks than you can handle.

All in all it was a great trip, great beach amazing food and wonderful people. The only thing I would say negative is that the resort itself is dated. The pool appears very old and the room decor could use an update.

Looking forward to our next Sandals experience and hope to come back here again one day.

Stayed there for our honeymoon and it was amazing. Location was great, staff was amazing.. it was all amazing. There was a morning, non alcoholic drink called morning temptation, if anyone knows the ingredients or recipe, please let me know !

Great views, great food, GREAT service.
I had previously given this resort a four star rating and I'm not sure why. Had to have been a mistake. I came here on my honeymoon and it was, by far, the best vacation experience that I have ever had. Our butler, Gladstone, was amazing. I would give one hundred stars, if I could. I would live here, if I could. This place, CAN'T. BE. BEAT.

My wife and I stayed here in early June 2017 for our honeymoon. What a great choice it was. This resort is the ultimate in luxury, we did not have to worry about anything for 10 days. The resort is isolated and very private. There are only 72 rooms and we never felt crowded or had to ever wait for a chair at the beach or a table for a meal. Our butlers were great and made sure everything we needed was taken care of. They checked in with us at breakfast each day to ask what we needed for the day and if we needed dinner reservations made. The food was amazing at all the restaurants. We ventured next door to Ochi for lunch one day and dinner another to try some of their restaurants, and they were just as good. It was nice to return to the quieter more relaxed vibe at Royal Plantation.

Went here for my honeymoon, highly recommend! This set the bar so high, especially with the butler service and free water sports, that we've never had a comparable experience at any other luxury beach resort so far. The best thing is that it's not too busy / private feel. You also have unlimited access to the neighboring Sandles resorts with free frequent shuttle service if you want a busier scene and more restaurants.

A great place to visit. The service is out of this world, all the staff try to make you day the best it can be. The butler service is wonderful and you are left with nothing to worry about except which of the first class restaurants to go to in the evening. The escargot was quite simply the best I have tasted, better even than in Parisien restaurants. For a great luxury break you can't do better than the Sandals Royal Plantation

This resort is absolutely amazing. The food is delicious, the beaches are so beautiful, entire staff is so friendly and welcoming. I'm happy we have chosen sandals royal plantation for our honeymoon, our vacation were amazing. Jason and akeem you guys are the awesome kept us entertained with music and dancing. We love the Royal Plantation! The staff is SO Professional and Friendly!! You never walk by an employee without them speaking to you. All the Butlers are "Top of the Line"! Our Butlers were Ricdardo and Kadesha. They were AMAZING!! Some other "Stand-out" members are Jason, Stephanie, and Cleon. Try the French restaurant, it is out of this world! Winston will take good care of you!
All the food is DELICIOUS!! Their chef is wonderful!! You won't be sorry after you go to the Royal Plantation.

The most relaxing comfortable beautiful well-established vacation I've ever been on. Everything is done for you. You pay and you stay. No additional charges unless you want to go on an Excursion. Again best vacation ever!

We have been to this resort 10 times and the staff is the reason why. The service is unmatched. Very rarely is there a problem but if you are unhappy about something the staff will bend over backwards to resolve it. We feel like famil and they treat us as such. The food is excellent. We are already booked for our 11th trip.

If you are looking for a boutique hotel with every suite/room butler served and want a quite relaxing vacation with the most attentive staff on the planet then this is it. The Royal Plantation is our home from home and we cannot praise it enough, every member of staff at the resort ensure that you want for nothing. From the top down the General Manager Mr Arnold Nugent and his team excel themselves in their commitment to fulfilling your own individual needs ensuring you want to return again and again. Although we travel to many other places we always revisit Sandals Royal Plantation at least once a year and have already booked for later this year and next year. Thank you all for making our vacations so special and making us feel like part of your personal family.

Worst vacation ever!!! Do not go to Sandals Royal Plantation in Ocho Rios!!! The staff are rude and lazy. Staff are more interested in fraternizing with each other rather than taking care of guests. Staff sighs anytime you ask for something. Staff sit around and flirt with each other. Staff are much nicer next door at Sandals Ochi where you can eat if you stay at Royal Plantation. I would definitely recommend Sandals Ochi instead of Royal Plantation. The staff at Sandals Ochi were so nice and accommodating (a completely different experience that Sandals Royal Plantation). My husband and I had a great experience at Beaches in Turks and Caicos last year. We had such a good time that we decided to go with the Sandals company again. The experience at Royal Plantation was awful, far below the experience last year in Turks and Caicos. Royal Plantation has a completely empty French restaurant that staff say is full every night, but it is not. They won't let you eat at the French restaurant unless you have a reservation. Royal Plantation only has a couple of nighttime restaurants, so your food options are limited, especially if you don't have a reservation at the French restaurant (unless you get bused over to Sandals Ochi). Staff won't let you pick your table at the French restaurant. Staff get upset when you ask to sit inside rather than on the windy humid terrace. They say the restaurant seating inside is booked, meanwhile there's not a single person eating inside the restaurant. It was very confusing. My husband and I laughed about how absurd it was several nights in a row. My husband would joke around with me about being able to "pull some strings" to get us into the completely empty French restaurant. My husband and I signed up for a $323 couples massage, which was mediocre at best. When we were checking out, they tried to charge $475 and said they gave us a "special technique" massage. When asked about the "special technique," we were told it's a lighter massage (even though both my husband and I requested deep tissue) and we would get a candle with the less expensive massage. I needed them to repeat what was said (so you're telling me with the less expensive massage package you get a deeper massage and an extra candle) There were so many absurdities. I cannot list the all. The only good thing about Sandals Royal Plantation was a butler named Chadsworth. I will never ever return to Royal Plantation. I believe Sandals is a good all inclusive company, but Royal Plantation was a horrible experience and I do not recommend that anybody go here for vacation. I have been a lot of places and without a doubt Sandals Royal Plantation was the worst vacation I ever had.

Perfect place for a honeymoon! Beautiful beach view, and service was perfect. My wife and I loved every moment at the resort. We were very well taken care of by our Butler Ash. Food was amazing! I would go there again in a heartbeat! Highly recommend!!!
