The beach of Marina di Mancaversa, a hamlet of Taviano, extends for less than a kilometer and is located between Torre Suda and the Punto Pizzo beach, on the Ionian side, about 40 km from Santa Maria di Leuca and only 15 km from Gallipoli.
According to some, the name "Mancaversa" was attributed by ancient Gallipolini fishermen who thus defined the stretch of coast located to the left of Gallipoli, according to others the word "Mancaversa" derives from the dialectal term "baccaversa", that is "overturned boat".response / report this review -

Nice little beach, not too busy, maybe because it's quite rocky and the cafe offers toilet only for 0.5 euro even to paying customers. Loud music, but lots of shade and space in an empty cafe.

Very beautiful spot ! Unfortunately ruined by locals and tourists alike , beaches full of cigarette butts and plastic ! I spent most of my time on the beach cleaning up , an incredible lack of awareness is what I witnessed here , if pollution makes you said you probably wanna skip here !
Also a note to all local business , everything served in mono use plastic is absurd , and the rudeness I've encountered from such businesses was so bronzed faced I don't think I'll be coming back . It's a shame such an amazing coastline is ruined by lack of environmental responsibility and awarenessresponse / report this review -
