This was one of our favorite stays on our trip to southern Iceland. The rooms were modern and nicely done, the staff was fantastic, and the breakfast was one of the best we found! Also, we used them to coordinate a super jeep tour to a glacier/ice cave hike. Johann made our tour fantastic! Thanks again, we'll see you guys again next time we're in country!

Nicest place we stayed on our whole trip. Great place to view The Northern Lights too. One of the the employees also makes wool garments that look awesome.

Our family of four (two adults and two kids) stayed in Room 7 for two nights. Room was large and spacious, with high ceilings. Very clean and open, bright. Modern.

One kid had small twin size sofa bed made for him and one had a cot. Cot was, unfortunately, hard as a rock with coils sticking up. I don't even know how my 11-year old could sleep on it. Sofa bed was very hard as well. TV was unplugged when we checked-in, which was unusual. At 3 AM, it turned in by itself and woke everyone up. Maybe someone set it to turn on at 3 AM as a joke but it appeared that folks who stayed before us had the same issue so they had to unplug the TV. That was not very pleasant, particularly when your internal clock is already messed up due to large time difference and white nights.

Breakfast waffles were nice. Unfortunately, I am not used having veggies for breakfast. There was no fruit salad.

Prices at around $400 a night are high in my opinion.

Still, great place and we would absolutely stay again. Great response time over email. Very caring and attentive staff.

The hotel is beautiful, and the staff is always available and very attentive. The morning breakfast is great, but I feel the tours are where they really shine. We went on a glacier hike with Johann, and it was the best thing we did in Iceland. He took us out early on the ice, provided equipment and taught us how to use it, went inside of an ice cave and even climbed an ice wall. If we return we will stay here again for sure.

Awesome hotel in an awesome location. Do yourself a favor and book a glacier walk with johann. You will not regret it! We hiked on a glacier, saw a beautiful tunnel and ice cave, and even got to do ice climbing which is super fun! It was one of the best things I did in Iceland, maybe my whole life. Johann also told us about a look of cool places to go that we would not have known about otherwise. The food is good too!
