At first, the view from my room was astonishing, hence there are two stars, otherwise the service was poor. The rooms were not cleaned during the day, there was an overnight power cut, meaning I had to shower with a head torch and the breakfast along with dinner, was adequate. Overall, my experience in this hotel has been horrible and unnecessarily stressful.

We were lucky to have gotten the recently built wing. Clean, spacious rooms. En suite bath. Snow storm outside. Warm inside. Decently insulated; insufficient enough to keep the drown out the howling wind noise at bay. Great restaurant. Excellently prepared food. Steep prices. Captive audience comprised exclusively of Iceland's massive in flux of tourists (us included)..

Basic rooms but clean. Nice views. Feels like a motel from the 80s in the US. Thin walls, can hear the person next door snoring. Basic food. Good but expensive. Nice breakfast. Saw the northern lights from the backyard.

Great food, great staff. But sadly, I was encountered with an issue. There I was, sipping bepsi, but then, wait a minute, that was CONK! COnK, in the daytime? I am a proud conk and bepsi lover, but I was overwhelmed with having to make the decision of which I wanted. So I wanted to sip all of the bepsi in Iceland.

Great place to stay. Surprisingly large. Interesting display of stuffed birds at the Bar. Rather large dinning place, might be crowded.

My daughter stayed a night at this hotel on a school trip - and left her trainers there. After emailing the hotel, they arranged for someone to take the trainers to an address in Rekjavik where a friend was visiting - we got the trainers back! Many thanks to the administrators in the hotel. We are very grateful!

We called to make sure it was ok if we came in "late" (10pm) and they said it was fine but when we got there there was no one and we had to wait around till a guest at the hotel found us and fortunately he knew where to find someone to call. Other than that rooms were very basic but were ok for a night and breakfast was quite disappointing.

Newly built condos. The rooms were in mint condition. The view in front of the hotel is really nice. The restaurant is average. The staff is helpful, but the dining area contain huge table groups, much like school diners. Also, they only had 3 out of 8 listed beers. The food was average and nothing spectacular.

Breakfast is very nice, the rooms are standard. They can get very hot so be careful. Showers are very nice in the rooms. However the dinner was not to be saught after.

Situated on top of a hill overlooking the bay. We stayed at the new building of the hotel. The south side rooms have a beautiful view of the bay. Rooms are very clean, comfortable and spacious.

As ever, a lovely place to stay but chicken, mashed potato and rice wasn't the best meal. Some school groups were well behaved; others the staff had no control at all so it was quite noisy.

Very nice rooms in the new building but you will walk a minute in the rain. Breakfast is medocrin. As a plus people fill their bags. For a one night stay OK

The location is very remote. The rooms are decent. TV has lots of German and English channels. However, food is not the best.

Great size rooms and amenities. Feels like a regular hotel again with bathroom and shower in the same room. Breakfast is included and they also provide dinner service if necessary.

Nice clean room with small bathroom and (at least for me) rather uncomfortable bed. The view is gorgeous. Breakfast was alright, nothing too special. Overall, a good place to sleep for one night.
