Great campsite with a large shared facility and nice views. Great location to visit a few natural landmarks nearby. Friendly staff and next to a delicious pizza place.

It's a great hostel in the Myvatn area. The kitchen is spacious enough to let many people cook at the same time and a big, cosy living room to eat and chill with friends and family. The rooms are clean and nice with lots of free space and super comfortable beds! If you're staying here, you must definitely try the pizza next door at Daddi's Pizza. Remember to check-in first at the reception before heading to the Pizza place as they give 15% discount vouchers for buying pizza! We made the mistake of heading to the Pizza place first and missed out on the discount :(

Pulled up in a campervan so had to pay 1500 isk for the camper and 1500x2 for two people staying. 4,500isk! For one night. The camper van kitchen, WC and shower area smelt bad. Kitchen had no bowls, knifes or forks to use. All in all absolute rip off for what you get on offer to camp in a unlevel gravel car park with no view. Wish I camped in a layby. But hey silver lining is you get 15% of the over priced pizza.
Avoid at all cost if you are in a camper van!response / report this review -

Quite nice place, down at Myvatn. Ideal for day tours, riding or nature trips. Good rooms in a beautiful surrounding. At the camping side you can have a nice pizza. It is not cheap, neither expensive, but Icelandic prices.

Good I would stay there again. Hot shower included in price., She'd for cooking/eating when weather is bad. Electricity to charge mobile phones and cameras.

Really nice place, toilette and showers are really high quality. One small minus, there is not place where you can eat inside and hide before bad weather.

Nice common area kitchen with lots of utensils and appliances- seemed for everyone (I was in camper) Large in door seating area to eat. Everyone did nice job of keeping clean and tidy. Not a large camp area. Pizza place o site was pricey but good. Bathrooms clean and lots of hot water. Wifi only available near pizza place deck.

We pitched our tent here for 2 nights during July 2016. This is a perfect base camp to explore the many sights around lake Mývatn as it is quite central. The camp ground also has its own pizzeria which is fairly good and has reasonable prices. The staff is friendly and the sanitary facilities are good.

Great stop for campervans. Fully stocked kitchen, warm showers, wc facilities, along with a dining room space. Also saw the northern lights here.

Nice location next to lake and Hverfjall volcano (great hike).
