The best hotel we stayed in the whole of Iceland. Amazing location, friendly staff, delicious breakfast and spacious clean rooms. Very great value for money. Would definitely stay here again and will be recommending to friends!
Clean and comfortable. The staff gave us great recommendations for food around the are and a map of the attractions. Would stay here again.
Lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff who were always looking to provide something extra to accomodate our needs, or provide a helpful travel tip!
Modern and clean room. The setting is ridiculously beautiful. Breakfast was very good.
It's good and location is good too. Sort of in middle of nowhere.
Such a nice hotel in the middle of nowhere which was great. They offer wake-up calls for the northern lights which I did not find elsewhere during out stay and wish more places offered.
Breakfast was included which was awesome and they had a nice selection.
We had dinner there our first night, best meal of my entire 11 day trip! The lamb entree was AMAZING!
What a great hidden gem! Literally in the middle of no where but that's what we liked about it. Unfortunately, it was gloomy when we were there but they can call you if they spot the Northern Lights! Modern and very clean, we loved every minute! Breakfast was great as well. Their restaurant was spot on, too!
Such a nice hotel in a beautiful area. I love how they give wake-up calls for the northern lights and the breakfast is great. The rooms were some of the best we had in Iceland
Very comfortable and stylish rooms. Very good breakfast. On site restaurant is otherwise quite expensive for what you get.
Nice location, I appreciated the self care products provided in the room and the staff was really friendly and helpful. On the other side, the rooms have only a heavy dark curtain (no lighter one). Since our room was on the side of the parking lot, at a lower level, everything in the room could be seen from the people arriving at the parking. Therefore we had to pull the curtain closed to have some privacy and switch the lights on, instead of being able to enjoy the light coming from outside.
The hotel was modern and sleek. What was outstanding was the dinner. I had the best Icelandic lamb here.
My boyfriend and I had a cozy stay here. We enjoyed the half priced happy hour at the bar and bonding with Agnes, the sweet receptionist/bar tender at the Laxa Hotel.
Nice views in a charming town.
Great view from the room. My wife and I couldn't stop looking out of the window. Room was very big and spacious. Breakfast was great. They also offer a wake up call if the northern lights are visible. Recommend this hotel to anyone staying by Lake Myvatin.
Lovely hotel, nice interior design, and the breakfast was great! The best we had in this Iceland tour. More importantly, we saw aurora for the first time in this 10-day trip! Right in front of the hotel!
Modern and clean. I loved the grass covered roofs mixed with the contemporary architecture. Great breakfast and comfortable beds. The setting is spectacular too on the south shores of Lake Mývatn.
The hotel is lovely, with interesting architecture and decoration. Beds are comfortable and rooms have the necessities. The shower is very hot and powerful. Dinner is a buffet, with either soup and salad for about 3000ISK or everything for 7200 ISK. Not cheap, but the soups were amazing and the meat was delicious. Breakfast is a good mix of hot and cold foods.
