  Interesting museum to learn about the history of Iceland's fishery industry. We spend nearly 2 hours there! Good place for kids as well.

  Visit the museum and get a tour. The exhibit on the cod wars is great. If you can get a tour of the coast guard vessel, that's also pretty cool.

  Great little museum with lots of information about the history of fishing in Iceland. Also had an exhibit about the Cod War that was well done and informative.

  I found this museum very interesting and informative. Mostly because I too work in the maritime industry. Lots of very unique and historic items in their possession and just amazing to see how far we've come. Just bummed at how short the exhibit was for the price of entry.

  The Museum portrays fishing quite well, but even the most interested individuals will find it hard to spend more than an hour in the actual museum.
  The tour of the Oðinn is a different story. The Oðinn is pretty much the same as when the coast guard used it. It is fully furnished, even books, maps, instruments and tools are where they are supposed to be.
  Unfortunately it is only possible to enter the Danish built ship with a guided tour, so freedom is limited.
  Our guide was quite enthusiastic and competent regarding everything Icelandic and especially when talking about boating. His compatce did not seem to be as strong with foreign languages and social skills.
  
  I would recommend it to everyone who has a strong interest in the Icelandic naval culture and some maritime knowledge.

  Brilliant museum that shows you just how important and wild the seas around Iceland can be. Also, a great example of how the Icelandic striving for equality may or may not have come about.

  Interesting little museum. Worth a visit with the city card. Nice to watch the harbour (in summer!)
