Cute little museum located in former public toilets. Its just a minute away from the tourist office and directly across the road from the retro toy and arcade museum. The guy the manages the place is very friendly and really knows his stuff. It a great little thing to support and even if you know your punk you will probably pick up a few new facts if you visit.

Loved this little place. Worth a visit if your in to the punk scene or used to be a punk like me. Great bloke who runs it .You can play the drums and guitar as loud as you want and try the leather jackets on . It's in a dis used public toilet under ground such a great idea. Very tiny but unusual.

What a find! The absolute antithesis of the Hard Rock Cafe which is only a few hundred meters away. Great fun and a "charming" attendant. Down the rabbit hole we go!

Great little museum that tracks not only the advent of Punk, but also Iceland's discovery and contributions to it! The staff know what they're talking about, the location is brilliant (in an old public restroom), and the Punk you get to listen to is enigmatic! Worth 20 minutes of your time!

Outstanding. An absolute must see when in Reykjavic. I had no idea Iceland had such a deep history with punk but I left appreciating this beautiful country even more. The owner is extremely friendly and highly knowledge, "Big A Little A bouncing b!"

"Museum" in a old public toilet. Clever uae of space as rhey have used every inch including the stall doors. You will spend a lot of time reading as opposed to looking at things. I'm not sure this is worth the entrance fee but you find some interesting information on a toilet that you could have found on wikipedia. About a 15 to 20 min time sink. Quite a passive aggressive scene.

It's set up as a series of storyboards giving the history of punk in Iceland. The bathroom stalls and side exhibits are fairly cool as well.
I'm on the fence if I'd have paid knowing what I got in the end, but it was interesting enough and a good addition to the art scene of Reykjavik.response / report this review -

Thought it was a punk bar at first so maybe part of the let down. You have a few bathroom stalls covered with Icelandic punk history It's cool Just more of an punk music pamphlet than a museum.

A fantastic whirlwind tour of the birth of Icelandic Punk. Fun presentation, funny and informative, loads of pics and videos, and music (through headphones). Well, well worth the super low admissions price!

Awesome little hidden gem in Reykjavik! We just happened to find this place and check it out. It is small. It mostly consists of various photographs and clips of information telling you about the history of punk music in Iceland. They have a section where you can listen to several famous Icelandic punk bands. If you're a Punk Rock fan, definitely make time to check it out!

A renovated public restroom, this museum gives you the feel of punk revolution in Iceland from a very raw point of view. They also have usuable instruments that anyone can pickup and play

This was great. Located in a disused toilet down steps and curated by an enthusiast who knows his music. It's not very big but lots of factual information plus pull down headphones playing the music in question. The writings tie in with the global music scene how others played this island then influencing bands who in some cases went abroad to play. Bjork features here too of course. Overall fascinating.

I loved this place - so good to see how a scene developed at such a distance from the epicentre of punk and still has a loyal following. Run by a fantastic person with huge knowledge and passion. Well worth the small entry fee and a great way to spend an hour in Reykjavik. Support it!

Greatest exhibition in the smallest place, takes around half an hour to three quarters of an hour if you are gonna read and look at what's there. It's possible to put on old battle jackets or play drums, guitar or bass.

Very interesting look into the icelandic punk scene. From its early start through to modern day. Being a punk of old in the UK it was great to see how influences swayed the way punk took hold in iceland. Great talking to the lad who set it up you can see its his passion and not just what he thought was a money making gimmick what a star. Spend some time talking to him and you will see this he knows his stuff. Guitars and drum kit to get on if the mood takes you great acoustics in the converted public toilets. Or if you want to just take in some vibes the headsets hanging from the ceiling give a good overview of the punk music in iceland. All on all if you are a punk or an ex punk you will like this place well worth the visit
