Handy location but. very expensive for the standard. In need of upgrade and deep clean. Would not recommend & definitly would not stat here again

Awesome self-catering studios. Instructions sent by email were very clear and the place is easy to find. Clear instructions in the flat as well. Clean with everything you need for a few days. A wardrobe + drawers, hairdryer, British TV channels, kettle, microwave, fridge, coffee machine, toaster, pans, cutlery, mugs, glasses, coffee, sugar, salt&pepper, etc Beds were really comfy, it was quiet both from outside and inside the building. Parking is very easy just outside the building. People leave their unwanted bits when they leave so check it out if you need something (toiletries and food). About 5 minutes walk to the main shopping street and there's a 24h convenience store nearby. Only drawbacks is the internet speed but as we spent most of our time out and about it wasn't a massive issue.

Nice clean apartments. But no lift so difficult to take luggage on higher floors. But rooms are worth. Near the local markets. So easy walk around

This apartment is like home away from home. Has most essential equipments and wares, although some of them are either broken (toilet seat, for instance). Still, I will come again if i can.

Great concept but a few snags. Pros: there are plenty. Location is brilliant for walking to the harbour and most major landmarks, the perlan and the main streets. Even the lighthouse isn't unattainable for a fair walker. Also the drop and share box is a brilliant idea. Although food items don't cost the earth as some fear, it is nice to have the option of a few added emergency items like milk etcwas It's also nice to have your own cooking facilities if that is your preference(as was ours). There were a few cons though unfortunately. The cleanliness of the room left a little to be desired. Also the fact that they rely on previous customers to clean cutlery and crockery between visits meant most things needed cleaning on arrival. Also the toilet in our room was impossible to properly access due to location however the shower was fantastic. Would/will definitely visit again taking all the above into account.

Great price, location and self catering facilities that will save you a fortune. Close to supermarkets and 10 minute walk to the main street. Leave and
share swap box in lobby brilliant for picking up things that are expensive to buy and that you don’t use that much of - Nutella, veggemite, coffee etc

The accommodations were adequate but not spectacular. Kitchen not as full featured as advertised (no freezer, no plug for the sink) and the fan in the bathroom wasn't working. It takes a day for staff to respond to any issues you have.

We recently stayed at the Stay Apartments , Einholt 2 Reykjavik. We left behind, mistakenly an envelope of money. Upon realizing our error, after landing at our next destination, we immediately called the hotel. Very disappointed in their response - which has been no response. All of our experiences in Reykjavik were positive except this. This was a substantial amount of money and we offered a reward. We also contacted the police, one week later the manager of the hotel will not answer my calls and the police have not responded to our emails. Very disappointed in the response of this situation.

The apartment was decent but there was no air conditioning so the door had to be kept open quite often to get rid of the humidity. The price was also affordable. However there is no staff but they respond very quickly to emails.

The main street is close to the apartment but the area is peaceful. And a plus in my book is that you can cook what you want. There are pans, forks etc. in the apartment.

Checking in and out works very well despite the fact that there is no staff.

Also worth mentioning is that food prices in Iceland are quite high. Tap water smells a bit but it's not poisonous ;)

Good concept, awkward execution.

In general, I like the concept of a self-service hotel to be much cheaper than others, that part worked well for us. The rooms were reasonably clean.

However, I had booked what appeared to be studios with a living room, a bedroom and a kitchenette, this is how it appeared on Expedia and how I had described it to the other 7 people. The confirmation also stated "studio", which should be at the very least one large room with enough space to sit and do things other than sleep. This was not the case and the rooms were cramped and too expensive for what was provided.

Other items for improvement:

* The layout with rooms accessible from the outside and all over odd hallways, upstairs without elevator etc. is strange, particularly those that go directly out on the street. Not a good solution. Having to go through yet another door is awkward with luggage and annoying because having to use another key every time.

* The room locks are weird and cannot be operated one-handed.

* Some rooms are accessible directly from the street and are exposed to the cigarette smoke from the smoking corner right next to it.

* Overall, hotel appearance and interior is outdated at best, the place needs a paint job and small fixes.

* The shower was painfully small, I could barely get in without touching the door with my body.

* No option to sit at a table and do some work on a computer. I only had a very high table that might be good for coffee, but not for any work.

* No space or frame to store the main suitcase. I had to put the suitcase on the kitchenette counter. If there are two people in those rooms, it would be painfully cramped and suitcases would be on the floor.

* Bathroom had a strange smell like solvents and the sulfur smell from the (free geothermal) water is overwhelming

Overall, mainly because of the size and false advertising of what one gets, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and will personally not stay again.

The apartment was good, the beds were good, and it's all in a very convenient location. However, service is minimal (it's a positive or a negative depending on how you see things), and the provided wi-fi had a ridiculous limit of 1GB per 24 hours per device (speed restricted to 15kB/s afterwards). In this day and age, even just updates and automatic photo backups bring you on the edge of that limit, which is a real shame when you consider that many tourists are going to want to share their pictures or videos with family and friends ASAP. I understand that they don't want abuse to happen, but the limit should either be raised way up or the restricted speed set to something that is actually usable.

I stayed here twice for a total of 4 nights over the course of two weeks. There was a minor mix up with the cost however once I realized the mistake they made adjustments without any issue. Each place has a kitchen which is very convenient as going out food prices in Reykjavik are very high. Location is good, small 5min walk to the tourist downtown.

I will definitely be returning here when I come back to Reykjavik.
