If you are chasing the Northern Lights this is the place to be. It is out there. Way out there. Like 40KM from the last paved roads. It was sure fun driving for more than half an hour with no guard rails at night in the rain. Once up there the howling wind was fun and the hotel for the price is amazing.

Great place. Clean. Great look. Up and away from town and everything. Friendly staff. Beautiful waterfall behind it. I gave it a 4 star just because it was pretty chilly. There was the sound of strong wind coming from the bathroom vent, but I attributed that to a very super windy night. We had the heat all the way up, and we didn't see any vents, so we weren't sure how that worked. Otherwise a very awesome place! Worth staying!

Cosy, simple accommodations with a blatantly misleading website. The lodge claims to be near Stykkisholmur, but is 1 1/2 to 2 hours away by car under good conditions. If you want to explore the Snaeffelsnes peninsula on your vacation; do not stay here.

This is the best place I have ever been in my life. Everything about this place is fantastic from the rooms and staff to the amazing views around it. If you want fun and excitement or just a relaxing time this is the place to be. I wish I could give this place 1 million stars

This is one of the best places to stay in Iceland hands down. The mountain behind the hotel provides a great challenge to hike or if you want just go to the top of the water fall behind the hotel and enjoy the outside. The staff are friendly and the breakfast is top notch. I have enjoyed the many months I have stayed here and will never forget it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!

Had an amazing time out here at Vogur country lodge. We stayed only one night but was well worth the drive from the Westfjords for the excellent dinner and breakfast, incredibly hospitable staff, class amenities, and an Aurora Borealis show that was breathtaking. Highly recommend it.

Excellent remote destination with modern, clean rooms. The chef here is top notch. This place is truly a miracle, with decent Internet (3Mbps) and amenities, despite it's location. I was fortunate enough to have clear skies and thus saw Aurora Borealis on my first night.

The last leg of the trip here is on a gravel road and not the smoothest ride, but it was well worth it. It's a drive best done during daylight hours so you can take in the views.
