  Quite cool to check out as it's deserted and not as much visited as the Grotja nearby. It took me a bit to find it. Park your car at coordinates 65.639808,-16.909603 which is a bit of a distance away from where this place is marked on the map. In front of you you will see three directions markers of which one points to Storagja. It's just a 5 minute walk to get there. They've replaced the little steel stairs with a fixed solid steel stair going down into the crack. Can't really miss seeing it from the trail. Once down below you will see a blue rope which leads to the hot water pool hidden between the rocks. You need to use it to get out of the water. Water is nice and warm. Wouldn't go here with kids. Grotja is much warmer and nicer to visit if you just want to see a hot water pool in a cave and don't care about the swim. Visited March 27. Path was covered with snow where you could fall through. Be careful.

  Skip it and continue to Grjótagjá instead. There's not much to see at Stóragjá and unfortunately there's a lot of garbage :(

  Nothing to see there ( not surprising since it's almost completely dark) . Doesn't really stand comparison with neighboring Grjotagja.

  Very cool hidden gem. Only bummer is the risk of ecoli or some other bacteria infection. Swim at your own risk!

  The cave is quite hidden. Look for the steal stairs and then once.you are downstairs you will find the right entrance toward the end of the path. be careful as it's quite slippery

  Although I didn't get to enjoy a soak, I thought it was a really beautiful spot. And there are other hot spring caves you can swim in near by. A must see for any Game of Thrones fans too.

  Had a hard time finding this at night. The parking area is right at the intersection. Not warm enough to bathe in. I wouldnt exactly call it a grotto even. Its a tight luke warm water filled cave. The one further out is much nicer, and is hot enough to bathe, but it is forbidden. Kind of disappointed.
