I'm not a hiker, but I became a mountain climber on this hill. I started walking up the right side (looking at it from the pits) and didn't know I was about to ascend. All the peaks are worth it. It was beautiful. After that I felt accomplished. Nearly slid many meters down the south side even in hiking shoes.. but no other gear. Its dangerous and scary but I'm stubborn. Its possible. But make sure you can handle it! Very steep!

Beautiful and far view from top of this hill. Difficult to ascend from the south side, good footwear recommended else you slide down the steep path, even when it is absolutely dry, or use the northern path.

Must see while in Iceland. Sulfur smell is a bit intense but the experience is well worth it !
