Great place, with nice and warm atmosphere. Highly recommended .staff were extremely nice and kind. Helped us to find vegetarian dishes, and were kind about making special adaptation for us :) The pizza and cake were really good and tasty. Loved celebrating there my mom's birthday.

Fine burgers, make sure to order sweet potato with them! Tasty. Good service, too. They had made an order mistake and we got an extra portion for the delay.

Very tasty ribs and great service.
Waiters were young, helpful, very friendly and they speak very good English.
Quite expensive but in line with the prices in Iceland.

Great spot for lunch. Good service and food was good. Reasonably priced. Indian burger and chicken wrap pictured below. Would give it 4.5 stars relative to other places in Iceland.

Stopped here with 5 others on the way from Vik to Myvatn. Is a nice place and was able to accommodate our group with no wait.
The menu is very diverse with several vegetarian options as well as plenty of items to satisfy the needs of most any group.
The food was very expensive, as is the case with everything in Iceland. Please keep in mind that if this food was served in any other country even near these prices this would be a 2 or 3 star review.
My wife and I ordered a tandoori chicken salad (~$22) house salad (~$20) and a 12" pizza (~$20). The greens were fresh with the exception of the red bell peppers on the tandoori salad being most likely canned or from a jar. The the tandoori chicken stood out as my favorite part of the above dishes. The pizza was tasty.

Other people in the group mentioned they enjoyed the tandoori chicken sandwich and that the fries were very good. Another couple enjoyed a dessert that looked like a chocolate rice crispy treat in a muffin wrapper.

Delicious food, very reasonably priced. Both the pizza and the burger were delicious. The cakes looked amazing, though we were too full after our mains.

Having read the various reviews, we decided to have an early dinner to beat the rush. The place was fairly quiet and we enjoyed our visit. We had a tasty pizza and the sweet potato fries (with garlic sauce) were delicious.

I found the wait staff was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately that's where the good things end. The food was really quite bad. I ended up getting the Benni burger of which the only good things on it were the toppings. The burger itself was overcooked and dry. The bun was also very dry and crumbly. We ended getting a dessert and I can't remember what it even was. Almost all food is expensive in Iceland but this was the worst food I had in the country and for more money than other places I went.

Menu provides lots of variety. Service was disjointed and had to ask for check and more water. Servers could be more attentive.to guests. Food came out quickly after ordering. Decent quality food, but not outstanding. Some food needed more seasoning. Sweet potatoe fries were the exception and delicious.

If I could provide a worst rating for my experience at this establishment, I would - unacceptable.

    Story:
As my partner and I both have over a decade of serving experience in the past, we are extremely empathetic to serving staff (We're patient, polite and over-tip). There were 6 tables in the whole restaurant with 4 tables finishing up their meals @ 8:35pm. A server greeted us and took our order (Rib Rack & Calamari), but told by our server to grab our own water; while other tables were greeted with glasses and water. Then we grabbed our own utensils after waiting 20 minutes. Waiting patiently for another 25 minutes (~9:25pm), our server was no where to be found. The manager on duty was looking at us oddly for 30 minutes without doing a quality check. When we politely asked the manager on duty in regards to our order, since we saw another table who arrived after us but receive their food before us, he looked puzzled. He informed us that the kitchen has been closed since 9:00pm and that there was no order punched in. The manager talked to the chef and was informed they could only make us deep fried items (fish&chips, calamari, etc) as the whole kitchen was cleaned/closed.
After discussing my displeasure to the manager, he tried his best to remedy the problem and apologize for the other waiter. They offered us "free calamari" by 9:45pm. He suggested to go to another restaurant a couple blocks down which their kitchen closed in 15 minutes.

Needless to say, we went to our hotel hungry.

In all my experiences in the restaurant industry (eating, serving or bartending), I have never been treated so poorly. This incident unfortunately will always be a splinter in the amazing adventures/memories I've had in Iceland

Fantastic food! The burgers easily outclass anything I've had in the States. They have very modest prices for the region as well. Definitely stop by!

Service was bad. Food was okay I had a burger that tasted okay, but the fries were really soggy and tasted like they were fried a week ago. Noone speaks Icelandic here.

My wife and I went for lunch. She loved her lamb wrap and salad. My burger was good but the fries were soggy. It's semi-self-serve. We got our own ustensiles and water. The decor and facilities are nice and clean.

Great coffee, great food, friendly staff. The barista even made me a flat white on request (Australian-style coffee) and it was really good.

Another yet voice for good food and poor service. However, among 3 waiters 2 were ok. I think the most bad notes in reviews are coming by the "service" of sumo-looking waitress. I confirm that she's behaving like cafe visitors are bothering her and she makes favor by selling food. So pity that good cafe and good food is impacted by single human. :-(

Tried this place when we stayed overnight in Egilsstaðir. The food we ordered was good. Prompt service. Luckily there wasn't any rush because of the time of the year so we got our place and our order promptly.

Fantastic place. Food was great, we had the Chicken Nachos (me) and the Tandoori Lamb. I tried the lamb and it was the most tender lamb I've ever had. The seasoning was perfect. The nachos was a huge portion, and also delicious. Staff were incredibly friendly and one (Kerri I think, English!) even chatted to us about our onward journey and recommended some points we shouldn't miss.

We were driving to south and need to stop for food. it was raining and maybe that's why we thought it was closed with no lights on . But our hotel recommended it so we drove back. We were pretty hungry and the other close food shop was the gas station or up the street a burger/ pizza shop It was open. The night seemed busy. We were handed menus and asked to sit anywhere. Staff were friendly. Food was not was I expected we ordered the fish and chips which were okay and lamb cutlets which were very fatty. We had to get water ourselves from the bar (self serve). Experience & food was just Ok.
