  I simply love this cosy place. The fish soup is a bit spicy and for Asian like me, this is good. Highly recommended the fish skewers. It is interesting to read the story of the place included in the menu, taking a break from the usual logging on to free WiFi.

  really nice place. the food is fantastic. had the fishsoup as starter (spicy!) , catch of the day as maindish and chocolate cake for desert. with beer we payed around 10000 isk (2 pers)

  Stumbled upon this quaint little restaurant. Very pleasant staff. Had the Naustid Famous Fish Soup and the Fish on a Skewer (fish happened to be Golden Redfish). Both dishes were amazing.
  Fish on a skewer didn't sound interesting at all to me. Just makes me think of dry fish pieces on a stick. But Naustid's ones were incredible. Large chunks of unbelievably soft, moist and tender fish beautifully cooked with a strong yet not overpowering charcoal taste. Mmmmmm
  The soup was also incredibly savory. The tomato base was somehow deep and flavorful and left me wanting more even though I was completely stuffed at the end of the meal.
  Forget all that Michelin star pretentious restaurants. The fish here trumps any of those Michelin starred places!

  they especially offer fresh seafood. really nice dishes and very nice staff. eventhough they were very busy, they found a table for us. it is pricy but worth it. it can be very loud if it is full.

  Best fish in Iceland. Catch of the day great. Langostines great. Fish soup great. Mashed fish great. Came with my family and tasted everything. Best restaurant of our two week trip.

  My Salmon was AWESOME. My girlfriend's catch of the day very good too. Nice terrace in the sun. Coffee good. Inside cozy but in summer better sitting outside.

  This place is a gem. We stopped here for a late lunch/early dinner after 3 hours on the ocean whale watching. The people are friendly, the atmosphere is comfortable and the food is terrific. We both had fish skewers. Some of the best food we've had anywhere.

  Excellent restaurant - especially the fish - with very attentive service. We went at 6pm and got a table without reservation, but at 7pm all tables were taken - primarily by locals as far as we could tell. Always a good sign.

  Amazing restaurant in small fish town. Nice building, vintage navy decoration (not too heavy), good service and nice people, nice atmosphere and most important great dishes! Loved it. Great fish soup and grilled fish dishes.

  We arrived to town late as a group of 8 and Naustid was still busy which is a good sign. We chose to sit outside to enjoy the late sun and have a beer before dinner. All 8 meals looked amazing and we all really enjoyed them. 8 empty plates, 8 recommendations. 👍

  This place came highly recommended by our guide book and other reviewers, however our experience was less than amazing.
  
  We ordered the 3 light course starter which came with the fish soup, mashed fish and langoustines. The soup and mashed fish were well prepared but a bit lacking in flavour. The langoustines were badly undercooked and had the texture of mushy gelatin in 2 out of 3 tails.
  
  For our main dishes we got the two fish skewers and langoustine plate. The fish was cooked well but we're just grilled and came with no sauce and were just bland. Again, over half the langoustines were badly undercooked and again lacked proper seasoning.
  
  Overall, the price is way to high for food that is amateurishly prepared. Try one of the seafood joints in town.
