Very interesting museum and amazing people

Fantastic place to visit if you're curious what can be done with menstrual blood of a virgin or other witchcraft and wizardry specimens. Great atmosphere and run by very friendly staff. All the texts detailing stuff in the museum are in Icelandic but when you buy tickets mention you want a free English guide and they'll provide you with a booklet with translations of all the texts. (oh and number 1 starts right in the middle of the room in a glass cabinet) :)

The museum was a little smaller than I expected but still fascinating anyway! If you're not a native Icelandic speaker you'll have to carry around a small booklet with translations.

Very nice museum, interesting stories about historical facts, great hospitality, fantastic food, good bookshop (Icelandic, English, German!) concerning runs and symbols

Really quaint little museum, and quite the day trip if you're driving through from Reykjavik -- however, the scenery totally makes it worth it! This museum has a bit of research behind their artefacts, and the two/three rooms worth of displays have been nicely detailed in their guidebook. They have a small gift shop and café on site too.
