The best spot of the southern part of Iceland. The icebergs came form the Europe's largest glacier - Vatnajokull Glacier, near by a black sand beach which the ice mash on the diamond beach.

This is an absolute must see if you are touring Iceland's southern coast. I really can't explain how amazing this entire area is. Glacier, mountains, icebergs, ocean, and more.

What an amazing place to visit, my highlight of my trip! A huge glacier in the distance with icebergs floating in the lagoon and slowly drifting out to sea. A trip across the road to the beach is a must to see the beautiful chunks of glacial ice washed up in the beach! If you come to Iceland you must come here!

Unbelievable, breathtaking views, and completely worth the trip to Iceland all by itself! As an added bonus, there is another amazing sight just across the street: the black diamond beach.

We pulled off the main road and into the parking lot. We were stunned by the natural beauty of these glacial icebergs floating in the lagoon, slowly creaking and melting.

To our delight, there were dozens of wild sea-lions swimming around, and sea-birds hovering over the icebergs.

We spent about 30 minutes marveling at this marvelous sight before we headed across the street to another breathtaking view: the black diamond beach, which was equally remarkable!

A place unlike any other I've been to. Glacial lagoon with cyan icebergs afoot a gargantuan ice sheet and jagged mountains by the coast. You'd be foolish to pass this.

When I went to here, the weather is not good.

When we ride to Vik we made a stop here and saw a lots of icebergs. 2 Days later when we return to Reykjavik, all the iceberg are gone. that is how fast it can smelt.

Highlight of my last trip to Iceland. The floating iceberg and the calving from the ice into the lake is awesome! It took us two days to finally get on the boat tour because of the weather condition but it is worth the wait and the effort. You probably will get to taste the ice too if you get on the tour.
