Really pricy for the service provided. Rooms where clean, restaurant was okay (one of the best beer we've ever tried) and staff ranged from friendly to not-bothered. But God that was expensive, we've seen better for cheaper.

Very clean and warm room, beautiful view, good restaurant with just perfect breakfast. Prices for dinner is average, but not huge. We tried chicken and fish and dishes were amazing. Really recommend this hotel.

Excellent food and new chef ! Tasty trout (from Iceland) great carrot cake and a great service. Prices are the average range of the country. Cool for families and kids pay 60% of the price for half food (more than half). Coffee and tea are free ;-) highly recommended restaurant

Great place to stop for the night. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean and inviting with an amazing view of the mountains. We had to share a bathroom but it was never an issue. Reasonable breakfast and dinner options. There was not many other options in the area but that being said this place was above expectations!

Lovely location with a mountain backdrop that looks like a postcard. Beds were her comfortable and food was lovely with pleasant staff although a little expensive but can be understood due to the very rural location. Thanks.

Rooms were adequate. Rooms are very warm, even with heater turned off. We had to open the window a bit to get the room temp comfortable for sleeping. Food at the hotel restaurant was nice.

The front desk agent was out of this world welcoming! She offered us coffee. The lobby is very clean. I seen the staff diligently working on projects to update the hotel. Has a very modern feel.

This was the very first place I stayed at arriving in Iceland. In the dark it is not the most well lit of roads. But when I arrived I was not expecting to stay in cabins. They were adorable and held in the heat well. Breakfast was also included which was a nice surprise.

DONT GO THERE. Basically that is everything what you get in the room. Washbasin, dryer, shared toilet and 4 glasses. No dishes, cutlery or even kettle. Overpriced

We had a bungalow shared with another party (shared bathroom). It was small but cosy. Unfortunately the hot tub was broken when we were there. The food was very good and they had a good breakfast buffet.

This was the worst place during our two week trip in Iceland. We were really disappointed since Hof 1 offered actually nothing for the high price of about 230 EUR. The rooms in the cottages were tiny so it is nearly impossible to place our luggage on the floor. There is no equipment such as hair dryer, TV, etc the cottages are literally empty soulless containers. Its hard to image a less romantic place especially when you travel with your partner. Even if you plan only to use this place as a sleeping room for few hours, there are other less expensive and better alternatives.

In addition the spa was under maintenance.

I only rate restaurant, we were not guests. I give 4 stars because this place solved a problem. We were returning to Vik and it got too late to get there for dinner. So we stopped at first place to eat we found. It was this hotel Hof 1. Staff was very nice, food was good, mostly chocolate cake and price as expensive as the rest of this island. So we really had a very good time and it avoided us going to be without dinner.

We just stopped here for morning coffee on our ring road trip. They were very nice and accommodating, even though we weren't guests. The only annoying thing was their card machine. It took three tries for it to work. Otherwise this place seemed great and it looked awesome for a stay too!

I would not stay here again. This was my most expensive, and by far, worse accommodation in Iceland. Advertised as a hotel, it is definitely more like a hostel but doesn't have ANY kitchen facilities at all. Not even a microwave or a coffee pot or a mini fridge. The bedroom was ok although my party of four was all sore after sleeping in the beds. We also tried to turn the heat off, but it was so unbearably hot. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. There was pubic hair all over the floor and the shower smelled like mildew. It was hardly warm and I was too cold to even try to wash my hair. There were no hooks or shelves in the bathroom to hang your clothes and towels. The included breakfast was fine (bread, meat, cheese, cereal), but for the money I spent I expected better.

One of the few hotels in the area so you don't really have much of a choice. That being said, premises were clean, rooms were comfortable, staff was friendly, prices are reasonable, and a decent breakfast was included. Also a great place to see the northern lights!

One of the few accommodations close to the glacier, the location is great if you're doing any of the day trips to the glacier to avoid going back to Reykjavik. Most of the rooms share restrooms and are comfortable but small. Restroom can be a mess because two of them are shared by seven of the rooms, but that is more of an issue related to the other guests. Breakfast is simple, just what you'd expect at a small hotel around here.
