Nice place to explore, with volcanic beach. Driving there is fine in a rented small 2 wheel drive car. Good open place that wasn't too busy so good for some drone practice too

Also known as Rhino rock this tourist attraction. This massive stand alone rock is a natural beauty that sparks curiosity with a beautiful backdrop. The road is a little rough to get there but can be done with a two wheel drive vehicle. There are two hikes a short one to an overhead view over the 100' cliff or a longer hike/scramble down to the beach where you can see it from ground level.

Stunning location.

This is a beautiful place to visit.

The road is a little rough but well worth it. Just take it slowly if needs be.

Those that feel upset because the Tide was out and didn’t get the reflections they wanted! need to understand that this is nature. You have to go with what nature will let you see. Just be grateful that you got to see this beautiful place.

It's a nice rock to view from the bottom up. But when I was there, the whole cliff was covered in snow and ice which made it very dangerous to climb down. It is relatively out of the way as well. Drive there only if you have time and don't mind spending some fuel on it. The distance from the nearest main road to this attraction is about 30km.

I was really excited about this, and I ended up feeling let down. I saw all these beautiful pictures with great reflections in the water. We went during low tide, and there was no water around it. People were walking around the rock, which is fun, but not as pretty. If you are nearby, go see Hvitserkur, but don't drive hours out of your way for it.
The parking area has several tables so we were able to eat dinner there. As usual, it was crowded.

When the flood is out you can walk under and around it to take pictures, very scenic view from the top of the hill as well.

Beautiful view but really, it's just a rock. You need to hike down to it just a bit. Follow the signs. They are there.

A great and iconic rock, but also a bit out of the way. You can hike down to it during low tide. There's some pretty amazing mountains off in the distance too. That being said, there's not really much to do here. Kind of a see it and leave it situation.

First and only place, where we find real black sand (not small black stones). Road to parking is gravel, so You need patience to drive till it.

Trail down to the actual beach could classify as a Class 1 Scramble! Nice area with wide open spaces and little nooks and crannies to explore. Also a picnic area for travelers.

A free standing natural formation about 50 meters away from the actual coast cliffs. During high tide, the rock is in the water, but during low tide you can walk around and see it up close.
There are gulls nesting on the rock so beware when standing underneath them.
Just a few hundred meters south, the beach of Orsa is home to some seals that you may be able to observe.

I've liked the place very much as I found the rock formation very interesting. It must said that it's definitely not for everyone when it comes to reaching the beach from where you can enjoy a closer and better view to the "Drinking Dragon". You should walk down a very steep, unsecured, rocky path. You can also observe it from above, without putting yourself under a stress and in a potentially dangerous situation to go down (and then up, of course). It's only a couple of minutes from the parking lot.

Absolutely spectacular. It wasn't crowded and it let's you walk down onto the beach. The road getting here is a bit bumpy but well worth the adventure. The loop around the peninsula is just as spectacular.

The rock is not as big/high as I thought. Nevertheless, it makes a good photography subject. Lookup the tide schedule before you go. When the tide is high, you get the Hvitserkur in water, and when the tide recedes, you can walk behind it and that's how I got the sunset picture with the sun behind the rock. IMHO, sunset shooting is probably better because the sun will be shining on the rock. For dawn, it is difficult to get the sun in the right position because it depends on the timing of the year. Aside from Hvitserkur, there is not much to do in this place. I would get the sunset pictures and go somewhere else instead of staying overnight.
