Lovely place. Perfect.. Even on a windy rainy day. With stormy seas.. Scenic, sites beautiful, watching the waves crash against the black cliffs, white foamy sprays, birds nesting on little ledges, easy walking, along a path, snowy topped mountains in the backdrop,

Beautiful place. Similar to the stone bridge nearby, but each is beautiful in it's own way. A must see if you're in the nearby area. Just a short walk from the stone bridge and port. You can drive there from the port as well.

Sunset is the best time to observe any cost view points! Way too wild and naturally craved cliffs, must see! So beautiful.

One of the stop points on our day tour of the peninsula. Very quiet at this time of year (December), almost had the place to ourselves.

Beautiful, picturesque drive along the coastline between Arnarstapi and Hellnar. Stop along the way to take in the stunning rock formations, cliffs and caves. Worth a visit and drive. In good weather, stop to have a snack or meal while taking in the beautiful scenery.

There is parking next to the harbor and from there is good to walk to gatklettur but on the way there you see 3 big holes where sea is.

I happened upon this, had no idea what I was in for. So, so, stunning and gorgeously, powerfully, beautiful. Seriously put this on your list to go and see. There are no safety fences or guides though, so determine who you'll bring with that in mind. :)

    Must visit!
Amazing cliffs, caves, and rock formations along this small stretch of coastline.

Start at the viewing platform and then walk East to the harbour along the cliff path - amazing treasures awaits!

Please supervise children at all times!

Nice basalt rock formations similar to the black beach. However the views are from the cliffs.

★ WOW! Another must see place in Iceland! It has beautiful rock formations and has a nice hiking path to the port. When the weather is good, you can see Reykjanes far in the background! The place also atrracts many bird during breed season in summer! Wonderful! ★

Amazing through and through. The town is pretty, and the rocks adding the seaside are just gorgeous. You can see snow capped mountains in the distance. There are many different types of birds along the rocks.

One of the most beautiful places I've ever been. Again, be aware of the birds they WILL attack you if you go near their nests.

Aloha! Just a spectacular rock arch! We hiked from the south parking and found am amazing coastal views. Unfortunately really high winds and strong hail made it difficult to take better stills from my best gear. We instead settled with selfies. The hike was light and easy.
