Beautiful cozy and friendly place to relax, enjoy sunrise, explore sea shore, visit nearby church, abandoned house and national park, best hotel we stayed at Iceland!

We stayed for one night and out room was very cozy and had an excellent ocean view. There is an amazing path that leads down to the water and the gorgeous cliffs and rock formations there!

Fosshotel Hellnar was very similar to the other Fosshotels we stayed at on our trip. Simple and very clean.

Been there somewhat out of the season, so there was only a meat or a fish-dish to order but it was awesome. Price is a bit higher, but well, the food was delicious. Having a nice view while you're dining is nice as well!

Great simple hotel. I had a fantastic dinner, ordered cod after recommodation from the waiter. He was right, it was a spot on for my taste. My room has a ocean view and I could sit by the window with a glass of wine and watch for hours. We had nice walk on by the beach but I reccomend walking shoes or good shoes because the path is rough. This is a place worth staying at 😆

Very nice and comfortable place. From the hotel you have a beautiful view on the Snaefelljokull at one side and on the ocean on the other.

Good dinner menu, nice rooms and easy walk to the ocean down the hill. Breakfast had a few extra things that I hadn't seen at many of the other hotel breakfasts (banana bread, Nutella). Great view of the coast and of the volcano.

We are in town staying at another guest house, but the Foss hotel was the only restaurant open when we arrived. When we called, we were told they were full and we would have to return in an hour, but by the time we got there, it says relatively slow. The Lamb dish was delicious, as was the broccoli soup. One member of our party was disappointed in the seafood soup.

Views of the ocean are wonderful. The access to a lovely seaside walk and two additional restaurants is excellent for this remote location. Dinner was delicious! Hiking trail is close to hotel taking you to some beautiful spots.

Stayed for one night here as part of our trip around Iceland. The hotel had just re-opened for the spring. Room was spacious enough and well equipped, dinner food was great. The location is really good, a couple of km from the ring road yet isolated enough that you can enjoy a nice walk along the coast - there's a 2-3km path going northeast, cutting across the rocks along the coast.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend it.
