Late November. A north-easterly gale. After a long drive in very difficult conditions this was a real saviour! Unsurprisingly, given the weather conditions, we were the only customers. But we were made very welcome and had a lovely meal.
Nice place to have a break and eat something. 295 ISK a cup of coffee/tea
Amazing staff and great food
The Food was great. The Service was not.
Awesome food!
Came here pretty much because there's not many other restaurants to have dinner at.
But that worked out great.
Had the BBQ lamb and the fish of the day (which happened to be catfish).
The lamb was fairly tender (cooked medium which is the way I like it - not too bloody but not too tough). You can choose how done you like it. But the flavor was excellent. Nice BBQ flavor and the sauce that accompanied it was beautiful.
The catfish far surpassed my expectations. It came as a fillet over an inch thick and looked very ordinary. But when you put it in your mouth, it literally bursts with juice and flavor. It's hard to make a fish meal awesome (to me, at least, since fish is so easy to get overdone and end up dry), but this dish was stunning.
This restaurant is not cheap. Pretty much nothing in Iceland is cheap. But it isn't any more expensive than in most other restaurants I have visited in Iceland.
Good place to eat next to famous church in blondus. Great fish.
Good quality food, the food is price heavy tho and the staff don't speak Icelandic, good place with few people
A little pricey but the food and service were both very good
We arrived at 9:45 PM (the restaurant closes at 10 PM) and the restaurant was empty. I know some places where you'd be told you're too late, but they were kind enough to put together some burgers (only other option at the time were pizzas).
Unfortunately the burgers were not that great (under-cooked bacon, blue cheese sauce without much blue cheese flavor), but we were starving after a day running around without eating so we made the best of it.
As so much in Iceland, it's pricey (over $25 for a burger???), but I guess that's the cost of visiting the island.
Had the 5 cheese pizza, mushroom soup, fried gouda, salmon, cod, catfish, seafood pasta, and veggie platter. All were excellent. Got another pizza to go. Very friendly wait staff. Family friendly atmosphere w a large 10x12 foot playhouse in the corner. Grest for casual dining. Would highly recommend!
Fantastic, friendly and attentive staff. Food was also great. Bit on the pricey side but happy to pay it when the food is good quality.
Delicious!!
Great staff, super cute atmosphere and the coffee was delicious. Sadly, I can't speak to the food itself, but I plan to return to iceland and will be eating here. I can attest to my yummy bailey's and coffee, though!
Their nachos were excellent and the pizza was out of this world. Attentive staff, great music, and beautiful eating area.
Excellent pizza's (and I've lived in italy), reasonable prices too 😋
