An amazing trip to the top on a bright sunny afternoon. Really stunning views and could see the island of Grimsey. Fantastic guide giving us lots of info in perfect English. You must do this trip.

This is a snowcat mountain trip to remember. Highly recommended. Go book it!
We were recommended this trip by the manager of the Siglo Hotel in nearby Siglufjörður. We were met on the road leading out of Ólafsfjörður by a snowcat with lights blazing and engine running.
The tour up the mountain was incredible. The snowcat pulled us up the mountain with ease and was very comfortable. The cabin was built by the owners and has heaters, vents and lighting for nighttime northern lights tours.
We spent plenty of time at the top taking pictures and chatting to the guides. They explained the terrain and pointed out landmarks.
