Our guide was "Joey" and he was a lot of fun. Really enjoyed taking us on the tour, was very knowledgeable of everything we asked about, and added plenty of entertainment on the way with stories and jokes. The view was just beautiful and the hike was manageable even for a "novice" explorer. Would definitely check this out when you're visiting or just looking for added fun.

My husband and I did the 3 day, “Short Break” tour and had a great time. The tour guides were excellent and very knowledgeable, and everything was very well organized. I felt like we were able to see a lot in just 3 days that we would never have been able to if we had just rented a car and tried to plan it all and drive around Iceland by ourselves. The glacier hiking was one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had. The tour guides also made several extra stops that weren’t scheduled on the tour (ie. to see a volcano, pet Icelandic horses, visit additional waterfalls) which was really great, as well. Would definitely recommend.

Great company. Very helpful with any questions or concerns I had. Incredible tour guides and amazing trips. I decided to switch one of my tours fairly late and their customer service was extremely helpful, making sure I got the trip I wanted and deliver my partial refund very quickly. One of my tours was canclcanc due to extreme weather, which is definitely understandable in Iceland. Customer service contacted me promptly offering a replacement tour (that was absolutely incredible) and a partial refund for the difference in trips.

We absolutely loved this tour! Each stop was beautiful and our tour guide, Giannis, gave us ample amount of time to walk around and take photos. He was also very knowledgeable about Iceland and kept us very entertained while driving between destinations. The glacier hike topped off this already awesome tour! We would 100% recommend this tour to anyone visiting Iceland!! It was the perfect mix of beauty and adventure! Thank you Arctic Adventure!!

I had a wonderful experience on the arctic adventures 3 day south coast tour with ice caving. Our tour guide, Sindri, was very kind, knowledgeable, and funny throughout the entire tour. We were very lucky to have sunny weather and clear nights, so we were able to see the northern lights. Pick-up and drop-off were smooth and on-time. We made all the designated stops and even some secret ones too! What a great experience! Hotels were nice and well-kept, so no issues there. Our guides for the glacier walking and ice cave were very enthusiastic and friendly. I did wish we had a little more time at each stop though. The itinerary was changed slightly due to weather conditions, but fortunately, the activities were re-organized that we were able to do all of them.

My husband, two friends and I booked an Ice Cave tour with this company. 5 minutes prior the tour, I felt on the Ice Lagoon and hurt my foot, being taken to the hospital.Our friends went to the tour where the guide guaranteed that the company would refund the price for our tours. Once back home, we tried 3 times to contact the company without success. Today (a week later) my husband was finally able to talk with someone on the phone and they just told us that independently from what was said by the tour guide, they won't refund our money. So in summary we had a dangerous place to pick up the tour and terrible contradictory services once a problem happened (specially considering the expensive 161 euros per person). Would never use their services again, neither recommend it to anyone. Terrible services

Great tour of the golden circle and snow mobiling was so much fun! The tour guide was friendly and informative. They give you protective snow gear which kept me super warm. If you’re going to Iceland this is a tour you def shouldn’t miss.

I did 2 tours with them. It seems they are mostly including all highlights with some extras which makes the experience a little bit better compared to the mass Tour Operators in Reykjavik. However the driver guide was very friendly but he didn't provide enough information and basically he repeated the same things for both tours. During the sights he even stayed in the vehicle without accompanying the group and explaining something. Further more the vehicles were both times very dirty so you could not look outside the window properly. Overall better experience compared to the mass Tour Operators however for that price one expects definitely more.

Very bad tours. I used this company for a tour. The description of the tour was misleading. It is implied the tour was an activity with exclusive access : in fact it was a room (of average beauty) where the guide dropped us to stand (almost static and certainly no exploration or walk/activity) for 45 minutes. The place was overcrowded by several tour companies. The room was filled with other people : we could barely pass each other. Obviouly, not a chance to take a photo without 3 strangers in the photo.
I do not recommend you book a tour with Artic Adventures. Also they are over priced.

Disappointed. Into the Glacier felt like a middle school field trip. It was supposed to include hiking and seeing the ice cave with some hours on the ice. "Hiking" is not what it was. We walked painfully slow to the glacier, stopping every 30 second for the guide to hammer away at the ice stairs which were already safe and easy to use. We stood in the ice cave for twenty minutes, and then walked back. The guide had us walk so slowly that I wondered if it was only to kill more time. Everyone in the group seemed underwhelmed, and I regret spending the money on it. I understand they want to be safe. But we all sign liability waivers for a reason, and it would not have been any more dangerous to walk at a normal pace and at least of the glacier. It was not a challenging or technical area and I feel, for the price, more should have been offered.

Tour is good value. We saw a lot of Iceland and since it is a small group tour, we are able to bond with out fellow passengers. Hotels are very basic and some of them are quite old and smells. Our guide is new and feels that he lacks experience. He does not give enough info and needs us to ask him where is the next destination, when is the next toilet break etc.

Be prepared for the cold and for the tour to continue despite stormy conditions. The tour guides here are great and very accommodating and are very understanding of tourists who are not used to the Icelandic weather. We had a family on our tour that had raised concerns about where their children could stay while they performed the snorkel and they were very accommodating with their needs.

We did the glacier walking and Thorsmork hike with Arctic Adventures last week. Glacier walk was more or less like glacier hike only in Solheimajokull and was an amazing experience exploring the ever-changing landscapes of Icelandic glaciers. They provided crampons for the hiking shoes and all other relevant equipment needed for safe and enjoyable glacier walking. Our guide Karolis was really helpful in explaining us alot of interesting things about glaciers.

Another activity was the Thorsmork hike. We had a small group of 7 including our guide Franchesco.. It made the whole experience feel more personal and lot more fun. He explained alot about the volcanoes, geologic features of Iceland and made the whole hike a very memorable one.

The tours were pricey, but totally worth. :-)

Excellent service!! The cave guides (Peter) were super fun and really nice. The snorkeling instructor (Zolton?)was also very competent and really went the extra mile to ensure our safety while snorkeling. This was the highlight of our trip, thank you!!

Arctic Adventures was incredibly flexible and easy to work with. When we could not make our glacier experience tour, they put us on a later tour so that we could still get the full Icelandic experience. And then when the later tour was canceled because of weather, they gave us a full refund. I wish we could have made it to one of their tours, but this is a wonderful, friendly company to work with and I recommend them.

The weather in Iceland is unpredictable. Better invest in trip insurance. I myself have never used trip insurance. Never had a situation come up where it was needed..until now. Due to a heavy storm my family's flight from Akureyri back to Reykjavik was cancelled and rescheduled for the following day. Unfortunately, we had booked and paid for the black and blue tour for our family of four that was set for that day. Arctic Adventures simply told me to file a claim with my trip insurance. I desperately tried to call and reschedule something so that we didn't just lose nearly $1000, but they weren't answering their phones and it takes more than 24hrs to get a reply to an email. We were so excited about this trip and my entire family was crushed that we didnt get to do it. The callousness and total lack of effort from Arctic Adventures to work out anything with us was such a disappointment. There are lots of companies that offer these trips. I'd recommend using another provider. I'd also recommend investing in trip insurance if you're traveling to Iceland

This was the best things I have every done in my life. I took the 4 day Northern Lights tour. This is not your average excursion. Each day was great and better than the last. the food was great and very plentiful, so don't worry about going hungry. Our guide, Fifa, was just amazing. She was knowledgeable about everything, and was genuinely just as excited as we were for our hikes (which included a 15km hike the tops of some of the surrounding mountains). She was adventurous, which is great because you just want to explore everything.

In the winter, there is no running water, so be prepared to go a few days without showering. There are also no power outlets, but there are a few powered lights in the cabin, so don't think you'll be just in the dark the whole time. Sleeping bags are free, so don't bring one, but you do have to check that box when you're booking the trip. The cabin is very remote, and it's a perfect setting for the Northern Lights and star gazing, provided the sky is clear.

Book this trip, don't hesitate.

I waited some time to write my review, so that I wouldn't write it in anger. I also thought about it while on my recent yoga/meditation retreat over the winter break. I came to the conclusion that to be silent was acceptance, and I do not find AA's behavior acceptable and want to inform others to make better choices. I booked two activities with AA - a Silfra dive on Sat, and a snorkel the following Mon. The dive on sat started off pretty great - we had good conditions. Some cons were that the guides never introduced themselves - I couldn't tell you what any of their names were. And at some point when we got to the site they switched out a guide with someone else with no informing of the clients. They also put my in the wrong dry suit, which is a huge ordeal to put on in the first place, and had to go through that process again. Also, none of them were locals - they'd all been in iceland for 6 or so months and couldn't give me any insight into other outdoor activities to do. Guides kind of just talked amongst themselves and not very engaging. But beautiful dive - just prepare to do a lot of waiting in the cold. And I highly suggest stretching your limbs before getting into the suit, because you will find it quite challenging to deal with your buoyancy with all the extra weight in (probably unfamiliar) cold conditions and in many times cramped space because of the narrowness of the Silfra. But the worst part was how this company dealt with the following

I have three padi certifications, over 30 dives, very healthy and fit, yet I found both my legs cramping up halfway through the dive, and it was a struggle and painful for the rest of the dive. When we got out, my legs were like jello and one person helped carry my gear, and another gave me her arm to help get back to the vans. After that, I decided that I needed to cancel the Monday snorkel because my legs hurt and I couldn't put my body through excessive strain again, so I emailed them that evening once back in my hotel. They emailed back and said that since it was less than 48 hrs notice, that they would not refund me the $300. Butrealize that I obtained this injury while ON their dive tour, and I was ON this tour at that 48 hr mark. It makes no sense. We went back and forth a bit, but still, they wouldn't see the light and insisted that I should have gotten travel insurance. I generally do get travel insurance when I know I'm going to be doing extreme activities - and diving like this is not. In any case, I just find it incredibly unprofessional and unethical of them not to refund me due to an injury I got while on one of their tours. Don't you? Their guides really should have told us to stretch and I find it negligent that they didn't do so, knowing that probably 99% of their guests are not accustomed to diving in -1 temps. They really should care about safety more than making a dollar.

So if professionalism, customer service and responsibility is important to you, then please, I implore you to take a stand against this company because it's just not right what they did to me. Do this beautiful and unique dive/snorkel with another company - there are plenty of others to chose from, and they all go to exactly the same site, wait in the same line, see the same stuff, and charge the same amount. I would not recommend this tour. Specifically: Golden Circle & Snorkeling. The guide was the worst my husband & I have ever encountered. She was not informative, considerate or friendly. Very Blah personality. Unfortunately I did not get the name of this guide, but the date of our tour was Oct. 6, 2016. She was 2 hrs late in picking us up and offered no excuse. Said maybe 3 sentences the whole trip. I paid extra money to have underwater camera and after asking where it was. She said there was no record of my request. A cheap one was later found and handed to me with no instructions. It turned out to be the same one I purchased at Walmart for $12 and I was charged $40. This attitude was so disappointing. I was glad I snorkeledbut reallyway too much money to be treated like this. Others in the group complained as well. How many actually will write a reviewwho knows? I will say that the Northern Light Tour that was cancelled was refunded without any glitches.
