Not pleased with my stay and others should beware.this is NOT a hostel!!
No community fridge, no kitchen for use, no free computers to use for maps or research, you had to pay to use the computers..this is a hotel not a hostel!!
The public restrooms were completely disgusting! See photos.it was left like this for hours, also toilet paper with poop on it was over flowing the trash cuz the hotel doesn't want you flushing it.it's was absolutely disgusting!
When we checked in the guy at the front said that he is doing his audit and we couldn't pay at that time. He asked to hold our passports overnight and pointed to an open shelf behind the desk that already held a passport. My gf and I refused, he said it was policy for them and ALSO for other hostels in Israel. Not true, and we've stayed at 4 other hostels. I just simply refused..I said take a photo of my passport, but your not keeping my passport and I said I'll pay the hotel in cash. He had to get approval and looked very unhappy with me. I guess he got approval because we continued to check in. Note: I counted 4-5 passport in the open shelf behind the desk the next morning. Not secured. I should have taken a photo.
Room was okay, definitely not couple friendly with just multiple twin beds. We were not able to control the temperature in the room, it just kept blowing heat. So we opened a window, waste of energy.shame.
I'm giving 2 stars because the hot water was really awesome, and breakfast was good. I think the only people that know what they are doing are the cooks.
To conclude, not impressed with this HOTEL. They need to drop the hostel. I do not recommend, I am sorry.response / report this review -

The hostel looks great and the rooms are clean. Diner is awful: Everything was cold and extremely greasy. After two pieces of meat, I went to bed pretty sick and my sister had diarrea. And in the middle of the night we woke up from a lot of noise. Breakfast was better than diner, but still made quick and not done.

While it's very basic accomodation it's a perfect location for climbing Masada to catch the sun rise. Accommodation is clean and spacious, beds are rock hard though. Staff very friendly.

The room was nice of course it is a shared room I got lucky and I was the only person in the room. The breakfast is not the best but it is included. The dinner is extra money but it does make it easier than having to go out and try and find something to eat. Bathrooms were great they were cleaned and the showers had plenty of water pressure. I would stay at this hostel again.

Nice rooms. Great location at the foothills of Meshadah. We took one family room for couple and two children, it was nice big room, clean nice bathroom. We had both breakfast and diner. The food is very basic. OK no more but the area has very limited options. The prices are bit high I think they should be 20% lower

Amazing guest house! Beautiful accommodation and surroundings, and very helpful and friendly staff. I'd recommend doing the 'great revolt experience' that the guest house shows on Friday afternoons- it really puts the story of the great revolt that occurred in that general time period and on Masada into perspective.

Nice hostel for either youth or family. Good location next to Masada. Good base for travelling around. Swimming pool to relax after hot day in the desert. And last but not least, you may get here breakfast, lunch and dinner for reasonable price which is quite attractive in this region especially at weekend.

Huge Hostel with many school groups and tourists. The building is very new, clean and modern. Prices at the kiosk are way to high. The breakfast room has a beautiful Panorama Window.
