What a lousy hotel and low class service. The key to the door doesn't work for the fourth time. No service at all at the hotel's restaurant. They scammed us by upselling on services we don't need. The room smells old and moldy. The hotel is not as close to the dead Sea as the others and the facilities are shut down early, so there's nothing to do - we feel like we were scammed - any lousy road motel is better than this one. Beware.
A very nice hotel. Very clean and well maintained. The staff was very accommodating and will to be of service any way they could.
We go there almost every year because of their great service. It's clean and the food is good. Prices a bit high but worth it. They have a kettle, coffee tea sugar parve milk etc in the room
The spa was something magical. The treatment of us was a definite 5/5 as well as the pricing and services.
The hotel was beautiful from walking up to it, to the pool.
When it comes to the rooms, stuff was broken, including the air conditioner. When we asked to move, the night manager basically told us we were not being truthfull and treated us with very little respect. However we went and saw someone else, and they moved us to a new room, so i cannot totally blame the hotel just because he was a clown.
I will come back if the price is right.
3.5/5
Nice place to stay. The shower and sink drain don't work very well. The spa closes at 6:45 pm which seems early but that might be seasonal. We didn't arrive at hotel till 3 so it was a choice between trying out the dead sea, a once in a lifetime experience or using the spa. We chose the dead sea of course. The view from our balcony was spectacular. Especially with the full moon.
VERY RUDE, VERY DIRTY. My family visit the dead sea every year and this year we chose this hotel for one's birthday. First of all, the beach is very dirty (it took them 2 days to change the garbage bag, which was full for 2 whole days!!) and it's not private beach as they say on their website. They had a problem with the chairs - there weren't enough chairs or beds for everyone in the beach. The stuff is very impolite and rude, unfriendly and unkind, even brutal. We were a family of 5 people - and an employee of the hotel (whose name is Solomon) came and yelled at my daughter for sitting on a chair, threw our belongings on the beach and told us "go complain to the CEO and shut up". No one will speak to us like that, we never had a problem like this before. IT'S A SHAME that this is the way your stuff is behaving. In addition, the stuff in the dinning room is also very aggressive. your visitors are your guests, and the stuff needs to learn how to behave to guests. plus, the pool is very small, the pictures are really misleading. the rooms are decorate in a nice way. however the equipment is old and need to change (the ceramics in the bathroom were nasty). On the bright side - there is a variety of food (even vegan and kids meals). but the most important thing is the behavior of the stuff and the messy and disappointing beach - and those were very disappointing.
The hotel service is bad. Food ducks. Restaurant is messy and dirty.
Worst of all, the sound insolation is incredibly bad, can't even sleep tight at night.
We checked in at 13:00 (check-in is usually at 15:00) and the room was ready. Nice, clean, comfortable room with balcony, well equiped and nice view on the Dead sea. Nice spa facilities and pool (dead sea water and regular pool). Good breakfast but didn't enjoy the dinner.
The hotel is clean, looks like on good condition.
The rooms are nice and big, has a nice TV (but don't even touch the cables or it'll get disconnected).
Pool is big and cool, and there is a designated smoking area so non smokers can enjoy a non smoking pool the by law must be like that, but from many hotel visits only this hotel enforced the policy if you call them and be specific about someone (Called for a group twice and they were stopped, but since we didn't call about another one he just walked by him).
Good food, I enjoyed the side dishes and my family enjoyed the main, but should have more options for vegans. No main dish looked vegan, all eggs or cheese. Also, it was nice to be greeted with a smile when walking in to the dining room (sometimes in other hotels they are just poker faced or frowned)
The complaints are:
1. The entrance security guard, who 'targeted' my young siblings (14-15 years old) every time they entered ("show me your card", "what room are you in?"). They were in wet bathing suits, they won't start going through different hotels. When we asked him why he got upset and said it's nothing personal and he checks everyone (he didn't ask me nor other adults, so false).
2. The view. Not just mountains but also trash. You should put it under a hood. Clean the back area. Not paying for sea view doesn't mean I need to wake up seeing a trash can (see photo).
Thanks to most staff for a pleasant stay and enforcing the no smoking at pool policy.
It was fantastic vecation.. great food and drinks..
Great food and beverages, fantastic pool, pleasant service, comfortable sleeping and adequate air conditioning for a hot summer vacation.
Unfortunately the hotel itself and especially the Spa is in an immediate need of a face lift to be a high end hotel as it claims to be.
Amazing location. Great service. Good food. Right in front of the Dead Sea and in the desert. Mind blowing
The hotel was very busy when we arrived but was soon given our keys and we found our room, the room was big and spacious however it was not cleaned very well, I even found lipstick on a pen I was using to write down a room number, the walls had scuff marks and the carpet had an iron burn mark in the carpet, the room safe was old and really did not look that reliable. As some of the staff did not speak english at times we found it hard to locate services.
A five star facade for a 3.5 star stay. Everything looks nice on the outside but when you get too close, it's not as nice as it seems. The food was meh, the rooms looked nice but on closer inspection somewhat unclean. I get that it's a beach hotel so there's a level of grime, but for one of the top hotels you'd think they'd be a bit more vigorous about the details. Also, no hair conditioner in the showers or the housekeeping cartKind of essential after going in the dead sea, don't you think? The hotel staff was very friendly and attentive however and it's fine for a short stay if you're not too picky. Very family friendly too.
Nice clean rooms with beautiful view. The amenities and spa was pretty good.
Breakfast was excellent but dinner could be a lot better.
The room service cleaned the room and took our used towels without replacing them with new ones. We asked the reception for clean towels and the guy that came brought small hand towels and was angry when we said we needed big regular towels.
Overall we did enjoy our stay and would consider coming back.
The rooms were nice, and more importantly clean. The staff were pleasant. The reason I give the hotel only 3 stars is because the range of food served was slightly sub-par in comparison to other hotels, and during dinner service there were no drinks at the buffet.
I've been into this hotel with my wife on a fun day lately. The experience was horrible. The hotel ranked 5 stars is obviously overated. All around the hotel was dirty and neglected. Poor maintenance indoors and outdoors. The spa was crowded, filthy, worn out, many items in the gym, changingood rooms and pools were broken.
Miserable place.
Unworthy experience.
Waisted money.
