A great place to congregate before a game in the nearby Aviva Stadium. Good food, a comfortable airy atmosphere contributed to by the high vaulted ceilings. It gets crowded on match days but there is a friendly atmosphere and a decent, if limited menu of food and drink in the bar tops off its appeal.

A bit above our budget, but we liked this hotel very much. The fact that it is an old school and many details look like that. Very friendly staff and good breakfast.

Delicious food and the portions are great. Also the staff couldn't be any more helpful. Very popular with the hotel guest and local professionals. My happy place on the way back from hospital over the last few weeks.

We were a party of 20 for a christening. Nice big room to ourselves. Staff were lovely. Kid friendly. Good food if a little slow. Overall very happy.

We love the food at Schoolhouse. Never been in the hotel but in the Pub and Restaurant. Kind and friendly staff. Perfect for eating outside weather permitting. And very nice inside.

Excellent position just 1.5km from Temple Bar. 2km from University Library. Free on-site parking, if you arrive early. We stayed 2 nights. Comfortable rooms, newly built on quiet side away from very busy large bar area. Good food, great Irish breakfast. Good WiFi. Lovely staff. Not a Hilton but still 5 Star for character building, comfort, position and service.

Although we actually won a nights stay with dinner in the school house it is not for that reason we rate this hotel 5 stars. It is genuinely a little gem and would highly recommend. The staff are all exceptionally helpful and friendly with a special note for the waiter whose name we didn't catch. The bedrooms are charming as for the bed if you are looking for a comfortable one you've found it.

My wife and I stayed there overnight recently and the room was lovely. Well decorated with a nostalgic feel, as was the bathroom which also had a great shower over the bath.
The bed was large and very soft/comfortable and the breakfast was perfect too.
Whilst we didn't have dinner there (as we were out at a concert) we did have a bar meal in the shady garden (which was welcome as the temp was in the upper 20s) which was also spot on. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable, (Brian in particular was great helping us with our Celiac requirements) and I'd thoroughly recommend the place!!response / report this review -

Charming hotel in a quiet neighborhood. Excellent restaurant with a popular bar. Well furnished cozy room. Airport bus stop right in front of hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

Very cozy and very Irish! If you want something special and not so common, definitely recommend. Every room has own name and you receive classic key with heavy iron key pendant :) so when you are going outside you leave the key at the reception. My room was pretty big with enough space and clean.

Really good facilities at this price point, as well as friendly and efficient staff. However, the lower ground rooms either have damp or has recently been exposed to some sort of water leak as there is a really musty and unpleasant smell.

A lovely, warm atmosphere with great staff. Everything from the building to the food and the hospitality of the staff was wonderful. Would highly recommend, cannot wait for my next visit here.
