The outside of the building looks like it's falling apart but the inside is much more accommodating. It has that typical hotel carpet smell in the hallways but the rooms are nice and spacious. The staff is friendly and attentive and parking for 24 hrs is just 9 euro!

Spent a week. Nice bar. Delicious food at their in house restaurant. Service at their restaurant was impeccable. Room was clean and tidy. Only amenities in room was a TV, electric hot water pot to make tea or instant coffee. There were bugs in the bathroom floor every night. Otherwise, was adequate to come back to after a day of traveling around the countryside.

We stayed here for a week. The hotel wasn't much too look at from the outside, but it was nice inside. The walls are quite thin and you can hear all of the people in the halls. In addition the fire alarm has gone off every night we have stayed here. Sometime in the middle of the night sometimes in the early morning. We stayed here because it had a hot tub and our feet needed a good soak after exploring the city. The front desk staff didn't inform us we needed to leave the building to access the spa. Or that we needed a cash deposit to use the towels. The spa is a nice to use. Overall the hotel left much to be desired considering the cost. The restaurant needs to work on their customer service. We were told to pick a seat and after waiting had to flag down someone for a menu. When I asked to see a drink menu I was told they didn't have one. The server didn't offer to explain what they had in stock. We ended leaving since they never came back to take our order.

Lovely bar. Great atmosphere and music. Service really slow though, waited half an hour for drinks from table service , then went to the bar ourselves . Drinks never came.

Whilst at this hotel it was undergoing renovations which it really did need as it is very dated and even had water leaks in the ceiling of a hallway. One of the maintenance crew was kind enough to let himself into my room whilst I was asleep to tell me that he was fixing something. I also ventured down to the bar on a couple of occasions the first time there was no bar staff for 15 minutes whilst me and other patrons were waiting. It may have been longer but a left the second time I ordered a drink and sat at a table but was told I had to leave as I wasn't eating food, with no offer of a menu. Apart from that the rooms were clean the reception staff were helpful. I heard the gym and spa were nice too but I did not have time to visit.

Outside looks very dated but they were doing refurbishments while we were there. Our room must have been updated as it was lovely and fresh with a comfy bed. A but out of the city but an easy bus ride in for only €2.70.

Restaurant and breakfast was good. Lift a little bit smal. Room OK. Close to bus station, 25 minute to the City. Good service.

The outside looks run down, but the interior has been updated and will not disappoint. Clean room, comfortable bed, and the staff was wonderful! It's a little further away from central Dublin then I wanted, but it's an easy city bus ride away (maybe 10 min), so I highly recommend this hotel.

The outside looks run down, but the inside more than makes up for it. After all you're not sleeping on the exterior walls. It was clean with nice amenities, and the price was right. I would definitely recommend it.

It's a typical hotel with friendly and accommodating staff. It sports one of the smallest elevator/ lift(s) I have ever been in. Also a spa, gym, pool and a restaurant with serves up very hearty meals. The Regency is a few stops from city centre but accessible through whatever means of transportation you opt for. My cousin and I had a lovely time.

OK but not worth the price.

I stayed for two nights from Tuesday 4th to Thursday 6th in room 5101.

Staff were very polite and friendly offering advice on public transport links and hotel offerings. However the rooms were damaged and outdated. The ply board wardrobe was peeling and everything was dusty. Under the bed I found a carpet of dust and an insect trap which was unnerving. I had to open the window to get air into the room and the dust out which left it cold and hard to sleep.

I used the leisure facilities but they too were outdated. The gym equipment offering is ok but there are very few weight machines and three times the number of running machines. It is also open to hotel users and nearby residents I assume. It was fairly busy with everyone staying on the same equipment so I just left after about 30 minutes to go for a swim.

The pool is worse it's small and there were lessons going on so a lane was blocked off leaving just enough space for three people to swim lengths. I gave up on this too and went to the sauna which was fine. The changing rooms were ok although the lockers were full of discarded rubbish and there is a lot of black damp mould growing on the ceiling in the showers!!!

Overall just not what I expected from the hotel for the price i paid and I would not return.

I will try and attach photos.

I spent 260 on the suite with breakfast dinner and spa treatments for my mam and auntie to enjoy for one night. When my mam came home she told me she had a awful experience in the regency. My mam and auntie said the suite was nothing like the pictures on the site there was stains on the carpet, bedsheets, chairs and overall cleaniness was not up to standard at all. I booked my mam and auntie into the spa for some treatments and were told they would not be having them its booked out keep in mind I paid for. Everything in advance Staff were rude!!!!! Receptionist told them live band on that night great atmosphere when they were the only people in the pub and no music no BAND . TO SAY I AM DISGUSTED IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT.. I would not recommend anyone to stay. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
