Beds are old and mattresses are sunken from long use. Bathrooms and room are clean. Can hear the noise from the street easily. Elevator makes taking bags up easy. You get a free drink in the bar on check in. WiFi is only good in lobby and bar, it is extremely shoddy in your room.

Lovely hotel but reception staff could be more welcoming and friendly. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Little noisy from streets but slept well.

This was an average hotel, and way over priced only because of the location. It was clean but nothing fancy. The TV did not work and when I told the front desk she said someone would be up to fix it and no one came. Also the guy working the nightshift became extremely rude with me about having a person come to my room. He did not try to have a normal conversation, instead started raising his voice and shouting we are not aloud to have guests. After I explained the person was not staying and only there while I grabbed my jacket. He became angry and told me it was agains policy. I've never seen such a thing. After I grabbed what I needed I went back outside and when I tried to re enter the door was locked and I had to ring the bell for 10 minutes until he let me in. I would never stay here again.

The location of this Hotel is great. The room was also very nice and the shower was the best I've had in Ireland. However, It is extremely noisy with people walking, driving, and doing business nearby.

Insanely noisy. There is no soundproofing from the night club downstairs. Full of drunk clubbers. Had a woman bang on our door and then force her way into our room to use the toilet. She could easily have walked in from the streets to the corridor without a key card. Staff are very friendly and helpful but nice after the fact is not much use. Breakfast was under heat lamps so was tough and stale.

Free Wi-Fi, great location around the corner from concert I was attending. Comfy beds. A bit noisy at times but it can be over looked based on the location. Complimentary free selected drink pass on arrival.

Do not stay here if you actually want to SLEEP! The sound insulation on the window is so poor that it might as well be wide open. This means you hear not only every rowdy group that passes by, but even people speaking at normal levels or coughing, every cart and car that passes, every trash truck which seem to visit all through the night, and the absolute worst was the screeching birds at 5:00 am. We were even given a "quiet room" on the top floor. I can not imagine how bad it would have been if we had stayed on a night the nightclub downstairs was open!!

If you plan to "sleep" at this hotel, don't! Some genius thought it would be a good idea to put a nightclub in the same building. It is open until 3am. No fans or air circulation in the room. Can get warm and stuffy leaving the only option to open the window to the noise from outside.

Staff helpful but unfriendly
Room wasn't very well cleaned. We found some hair in the bathroom which weren't from us and some old dried bloodstains on the sheets.
A couple of times some gray water came back the drain in the bathtub.
And it doesn't really matter if the windows are closed or open, the noise is the same.
But overall the Hotel is recommendable for everybody who is looking for an average hotel in a very good location.response / report this review -

I stayed here a few nights ago and while very central, right in the heart of the city as well as in Temple Bar I found the hotel and the room a bit dated. I didn't eat here so can't comment on that. If you can get a good rate and want to be very well located for visits to Trinity College, the GPO, O'Connell street and Grafton street then this is a very good option!

Adequate. Comfortable room. Central location. Some staff very "sulky" others very friendly. Breakfast was adequate but for the price we chose to go to the Mill Bar nearby. Same price for cooked-€10, but we know it's freshly cooked, not sat hours under lamps, and served to us, not buffet, and with a smile! Downside of course is if you want continental I couldn't find it nearby. €7 for what was on offer for continental was a lot but adequate.
Great place to stay 2/3 nights for sightseeing. Would go elsewhere for longer/romance/Anniversary etc.
Did not find it noisy on second floor.
Reception staff very patient with overtired travellers (thankyou).
To get 4/5 stars I would have liked -
Staff available at breakfast
Better manners from the one staff I found in restaurant
Better selection/quality of breakfast
More than 4 milks between 2 for room drinks = only one drink each (as it is customary to use 2 milks per drink). We were given a jug of milk when asked for more but that was sour by morning.
Better wifi connection (showed connected but did not enable me to access apps)
More comfy beds - they weren't bad for 3 nights would not stay a week.
Space for clothing does not encourage a longer stay.
BEWARE the taxi firm they use - cost under €25 from airport to Blooms but €33 returning to airport! Almost €10 difference. Extortionate.
Curiosity-- notice in bathroom to save laundry and reuse towels if possible, not expecting renewal daily. To not place on floor but hang on rail if not wanting renewal.
Each day we left our towels hung on rail and each day all towels (even unused) were replaced. ??? Point of request?
Overall a nice breakaway for a sightseeing trip.response / report this review -

I have adored the artwork on this building for years so my boyfriend surprised me by booking us in during a trip to Dublin. The building is as beautiful a ever, the rooms are a small but everything you need. I will say that you do pay for location above anything else. We were staying on the third floor and I am glad of it as any lower and the sound of the club would have kept us up. I am, fortunately, a heavy sleeper as it really is quite loud from about 11pm to 2am. Additionally at around 5am someone was screaming and shouting in the hallway which was not appreciated.

Central location. Don't stay if you want a quite night as the streets are noisy. A night out in Dublin and a few hours kip and it's a perfect location. Food in bar is nice and reasonably priced. Night club connected and free for residents but may be noisy for low bedrooms.
