Comfortable, convenient and stylish. Would happily come again!

Of particular note the food was outstanding. I had dinner one night (superfood salad, sea bass with potato cake) and veggie breakfast two days. Great effort.

Friendly helpful staff, gorgeous contemporary design. Light reception/restaurant and bar area. Lovely large clean rooms, comfortable beds, lots of hot water. Would definitely stay here again.

A very nice and comfortable hotel, well designed (recently renovated),at an excellent location. Everything in Dublin Center is within walking distance. I went for the continental breakfast, which was great. Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet. This is a happy customer.
One small suggestion for improvement. The walls appear to be rather thin, when my neighbor turned on the t.v. right after I arrived I could hear it, even though it was not turned on at a loud volume. The very nice lady at the desk went out of her way to find an alternative room but I decided to stay in the same room and I did not have any problem for the next two days. If they manage to isolate/soundproof the walls this would be the perfect hotel. I'm still giving it all the stars I can.

We have stayed here before and like its location within Dublin City Centre and easy walking distance of Trinity College, Grafton Street, St. Stephen's Green, Temple Bar, CHQ and the EPIC Experience, etc. Hotel was in the process of being renovated during our stay (to become the sleeker "Alex" hotel) and our room was newly designed with a nice open, minimal, masculine feel. Noise from construction is limited to between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm. Ground floor breakfast dining area and future coffee shop. (Nice pub, The Ginger Man, right across the street serves lunch and dinner.) We needed to add a night to our stay and reception desk handled it with no problem since I booked our initial stay online through the hotel site.

Hotel was very pretty but the air conditioner was not existent. Called front desk 6 times over a 2 day period, they said it was working fine. Thank god we only had 2 nights here, would have been looking for another hotel if we had more days booked. Had to wait 4 hours for a second roll of toilet paper and that was after a second call to front desk. No Kleenex in the box. Said they didn't have any more. Safe would not open with code. Started a 30 minute count down and would not open. Had to call front desk took 15 minutes for some one to get here still couldn't get in safe. Internet is so slow you can barely check an email. 10 euros if you want it to work faster. Hotel was under going renovation and had no room service or restaurant. To many nice looking hotels in Dublin stay somewhere else.

Great hotel, room 508 was fantastic!!
Breakfast was not great to be honest. I know they are having construction work done at the moment so maybe the kitchen is not in full swing. But that aside the hotel is really great. Couldn't fault the room or the staff. I would definitely return.

Had a lovely stay overall. The room was very nice and the staff mostly very friendly and really helpful. The person who checked us in, however, was abrupt and unaware of (and subsequently somewhat disgruntled about) our late check-out arrangement that we had prepaid for online. Nor was our late check-out communicated effectively to other staff as we did get a knock on the door the following day and somebody entered not knowing we should still be there. The breakfast was lovely though and overall the staff very friendly and helpful. Just a shame that the lack of professionalism at check-in and communication about our late check-out left a bit of a bad taste.

we came here for our honeymoon, and it was a wonderful place to stay. The staff was very helpful and accommodating; we had a lot of travel issues getting here, but everyone we talked to was very kind, and when our baggage was later even than we were, they made sure we knew as soon as it got there. There was even a handwritten note in the room to congratulate us on our marriage, to give everything an even more personal touch. The room is lovely, spacious, quiet, and clean, and the bed is very soft - an easy place to relax after a long flight. I only wish our stay hadn't been cut short!

A fantastic stay made so good by Chris (from Dublin) on reception. The was helpful and extremely courteous. I have stayed in some of the best hotels in the world and it is th only time I have been asked if I minded whilst he took a call while I was waiting. He also dealt calmly and effectively with a couple of other shirty clients. Well done. The room was lovely too and I had a great night's sleep. Thank you.

    It was a disappointing experience.
On checking in the person on the desk tried much too hard to upgrade me to one of the renovated rooms. It made me feel like the room I booked was inadequate. When I declined to upgrade she told me I could have the room anyway because the hotel was full. The newly renovated room was not fit for occupancy. The shower and sink were clogged and I couldn't have a shower. Pictures were stacked behind the bed and not hanging on the walls and there was a lot of dust. Breakfast was a disappointment and was lukewarm and when I informed the desk person of this on departure she seemed uninterested. I have stayed at the Alexander before but I don't think I'll be back

The hotel was nice, when we got our room I was wondering why the window was opened so far we had to stand on the ledge to pull it in. we were rushing for the gaiety. When we came back we noticed that when we got into bed that there was a strong smell of smoke, even though its a non smoking room. the duvet, pillow was smelling of it, the curtains, someone before us must have been smoking in there, no wonder the housekeeper had the window open that far out. We are non smokers and I could smell it the whole night, we didn't ask for another room as it was too late, I mentioned it to the receptionist the next morning, she just said she would follow it up, it told her to ask the housekeeper. Otherwise the rest of the stay was good,

Excellent staff, very friendly and happy to help in every situation. They all made our stay that extra bit better. Hotel is stunning as well. We stayed in new rooms and are beautiful, very well maintained, clean and decorated. Central area but just far enough out the way so not in hustle and bustle of Dublin.

Will deffinetly stay again if we return.

We were travelling from Canada- our flight came in very early, we were pretty jet lagged from our travels, we arrived at 7am when we were supposed to check in at 5pm. Our room was not ready but in the mean time they let us take a nap in another room while our room was being cleaned. Yes, the interior is a little dated but the suite we were in was very spacious and clean. All the staff we encountered were very pleasant ! There was even a bottle of wine in our room when we got there. Breakfast was also good!
