From the moment we arrived albeit too early for check in we were made feel welcome.
Short 15 walk to city Centre. Hotel is clean and room was well serviced and more than adequate.
Construction work was going on but was not an issue in our case. The heating system was a bit noisy so really did not use it.
Breakfast was ample and well presented and certainly set us up for the day.
Late checkout was also a bonus though there was an issue with key cards not working after 12 pm.
Got replacement but not given a reason - do they automatically cut at a certain time to make sure you can’t return?
Car park was handy and great that it was free.
Plan to return to Galway and certainly will consider the hotel again.
    Many thanks.

I stayed three nights, had a pleasant stay. Nice, spacious room and also a large bathtub. Unfortunately, there was work going on outside so there was a lot of noise in the morning, it was impossible to have a lie in. Also, I was a bit disappointed that even though I had paid at checkout they asked me to pay again and when I showed my receipts they went to verify it and were acting like as if I had not paid. There should be a system where it shows clearly on the computer that the customer has paid. Otherwise, no problems and I would use Maldron again.

Amazing hotel from start to finish we were greeted by Thomas at the front desk who was so helpful and nice excellent as his job. Then at dinner our waitress Courtney was amazing so helpful, kind everything you want from the dinner service all of the staff were outstanding.. the room was beautiful and clean.. We enjoyed ourselves so much that if were ever in Galway again we will definitely stay at the Maldron. Thank you for having us and treating us so great! 10/10 experience

I stayed at the Maldron hotel with my family on a family holiday. This hotel was located close to the train station and to the centre city of Galway. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and answered all my questions. Carol who was working at the front desk when I arrived and was a huge help in getting all of my plans for the day organized with my cab driver and how to get to the city. I ate dinner at the hotel both evenings for my stay and the selection was a nice variety and the all the food was delicious. The wait staff was helpful, friendly, and answered all questions. The only issue I had was a minor issue with the shower because I could not get the shower temperature comfortable. I was either too hot or too cold water however I was the only room in the party that had this issue.

Rooms were comfortable and very clean.
The provision of complimentary tea/ coffee making facilities; ironing board; and safe shows consideration for the customer and was much appreciated.
I loved the fact gratis parking in a secure area was also available as parking spaces are at a premium in Galway city.
The staff were very personable and pleasant without being familiar which is a sign of excellent training.
We ordered room service and had breakfast in the bistro which was of a high standard. Presentation of food is well done and including allergen information regarding the ingredients is again putting the customer first.
Thank you for an all too short but happy experience at your hotel.

Initial welcome from front desk staff was warm, friendly and helpful. Room was spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable. Hotel is close to town center and two shopping centers. After arriving we walked to the downtown area, which was a comfortable distance to walk. The hotel has a full exercise facility but I actually found a running route between the hotel and a roundabout in the direction of the town center . Although the hotel appeared to have a lot of guests it didn't feel crowded.

Food in dining room was good, although service by one waitress on Saturday July 8 evening was rude and unfriendly. She never smiled, waited until we ordered to tell us they were out of the selections we made, dropped off our shared messy appetizer with no side plates and overall gave the impression she didn't like her job. We ate in the bar the next evening and I saw her serving in the restaurant, and again she looked very sullen. .Unfortunately | didn't catch her name but it was NOT Amy - Amy's service was friendly.

The room was lovely, the bed incredibly comfortable and we had a wonderful couple of nights sleep. We took full advantage of there being a fridge in the room, which is definitely something you don't see that often anymore, but was greatly appreciated. The reception staff were exceptionally lovely here, going out of their way to help me set up wifi etc. And I LOVED the button in reception to call a taxi- it was very useful! The vending machines, although we didn't use them on this occasion, were stocked very well with a good variety of things inside, including dental care and shaving equipment!

Literally my only two complaints were:
    1) One of our towels had some small spots of dried blood on it from a previous use. In fairness, I said this to the man who came to offer room cleaning on the first morning and he promptly replaced it and was very apologetic. We did check the bedsheets etc after seeing this but thankfully they were spotless!
    2) the tap in our room was leaking very badly out across the counter top We had to use toilet paper to stop it falling onto the floor or reaching our belongings. I mentioned this to the same man, who then offered to get maintenance for us, but I think we all got distracted by the bloody towel so maybe he forgot, but we didn't hear from anyone again in relation to this. It wasn't a huge issue so I didn't mention it again until we were checking out.

Overall these were relatively minor things and it wouldn't affect my returning to this hotel, which I would intend to in the future. I would certainly recommend it to others- although, if I'm honest, I'll probably be checking the towels & linens straight away, just in case!

Great staff at the bar. Ordered our drinks. All happy and smiles. Going to try the food. Special 2 and 3 course menu at 4:45pm Waiting on dinner and dessert came out 1st. Dinners are lovely 😊next is the dessert 🍨Apple crumble with very nice ice cream. Had to get mind heated up. Gorgeous only a very small bit of ice Cream. Could have done with proper scoop. But the food it very nice 👍

Only one problem which was dealt with by helpful staff. We could not sleep because of external noise, sounded like an extractor fan, which by 4am became unbearable. The night porter transferred us to another room which in spite of his best efforts was no quieter. The next day hotel management not only apologised but responded by transferring us to another quieter room. Our second night was uneventful with a peaceful night's sleep.

Maldron Hotel was a perfect choice for our stay. The room was clean and spacious and the staff friendly and helpful. The location is close to city centre (about a 20 minute walk) while being just a little out of the way and also able to offer a free, underground car park.

This is the second time I visited this hotel. I was here the same time last year when the hotel was under a different name. the name has changed but service has not. Top class. There were three girls on reception who were only delighted to help. One was busy with another customer but still acknowledged us. Another done paperwork and the other inquired about our plans for our stay and gave advice on what there was to do. 10 out of 10 for all aspects of staff. We visited the spa and once again polite and friendly staff made it a very relaxing affair. The room itself was spotless and a very comfortable sleep. Breakfast was a buffet style with plenty of tasty options. Couldn't find a flaw with our stay if we tried. The only reason we chose galway as our destination for us our break was the service we got here last year and after this year's trip 2017 is already decided.
